The Tundra is my daily commuter for 50miles round trip to and from work. I also take my truck to pretty rough weekend off-road trips and I film my off-road journey on my youtube channel [4WD is Life]. My goal for this truck is to own it for 20+ years and 500k miles, comfortable enough for daily and long haul, yet capable enough for some pretty rough off-road environments east coast has to offer.

Factory spec, 2020 Crewmax SR5 4x4 5.7L (4.30 rear diff gearing) w/ sr5 upgrade package (to get the 38gal. tank). I figured since I plan on lifting it, a TRDpro really doesn't make sense financially.

Your plan for your truck and use is identical to mine. Same commute too

Nice, sometimes there has to be compromises made either for more onroad comfort or offroad prowess, constant battle, just uploaded some pictures in the first thread.

I dont commute quite as far as you, but that is exactly what I do, too, and why I bought mine. It’s paid off, so looks like I’m gonna do some more stuff to it.

I really enjoy your channel, @king.cong.1119! Some of the drivers seem like beginners, but it looks like everyone is having fun.

Thanks for the kind words, I do think my current setup is good for my needs, it certainly can use a set of 37s and more lifts but it will sure dramatically decrease the highway performance. The drivers on my youtube channel varies in terms of driving skills but they are all good people share the same interests with me and I am sure experience will just be a matter of time. cheers!

Good eye, I am around philly, and most of the offroad trips i do is in Famous Reading Outdoors, and if I really want to have a action packed day, then it will be Rausch Creek. AOAA is nice but not too full size friendly.

Installed OEM full LED head lights from TOYOTA dealer, and the halogen to LED harness from Headlight Revolution.
night and day difference, it is a major safety upgrade in my opinion because now I can see much better at night.

Got some used ROCK Warrior wheels for cheap, they are not in a good shape, so I hired someone to refinish them in bronze. Turned out pretty good.

above picture also has the bfg ko2 285/70r17 jeep take off tires on them, no wheel spacers, +50mm offset works well with 285mm width, no rubbing anywhere.

The family that owns reading anthracite/ famous reading outdoors are really good people. A lot of land to traverse with their pass. 18k acres I believe. Anyway I’m just outside of Philly as well.

Decided to sell my rock warrior wheels because I don't like the idea of running wheel spacers in order to clear 315 width tires from UCA.
and these set of bronze wheels look nice on any color tundra

Xmas came late or way early, got myself a set of bilstein 6112/5160 suspension, and bfg ko2 315/70r17 load range E tires.
The day I dropped it off at the dealership for lifting, there happened to be a raptor there, just took a picture for the sake of it.
For the wheels, I went with the ICON Rebound 17inch +25mm offset that's known for having the best fit for 35s on our tundra.

    Ironman Raid series bumper.

I have the same one and its awesome. The price is unbeatable and you get lights too. Quality and install was superb and top of all of that, it is crash test rated in AUS and it has crumble zones. Highly recommend.

OP I like the build, and I use the truck pretty much the same way you do, minus the commute since I bike to work. Its mostly a weekend fun/family hauler. I have 2 front facing car seats in mine and there is plenty of space for a person in the middle seat and moving around back there couldnt be any easier.

I would highly recommend the front and rear anytime camera. I am surprised how often I use that, cant imagine not having it now.
