Thank you! Fingers are definitely crossed for you all! I have no idea how this truck moved so much faster than the last one I had my name on. Quick timeline for both trucks below.

Prior truck: Limited TRD OR 6.5 ordered out of Montana: Build date: April 15, Ship Date: May 15th (on the rail), Location: Unknown, but have to think close to Silver Bow.

New Truck: TRD OR 6.5 out of Oregon: Build date: May 11, Ship Date: May 12th (Crazy only one day), Arrival to Portland: May 27th, Departure from Portland: May 31st

Just interesting the timelines given the build dates ...

Hate to ask again but my dealership told me that my Tundra was being loaded onto the truck yesterday and would be delivered in 2-3 days. just wanted to see if the VIN shows up now:5TFNC5DB7NX002588.

Also, does anyone know if there is a way to determine if your particular build is safe from the dreaded wastegate issue? I assume my Tundra was built sometime in April or possibly early May. Toyota has been completely tight-lipped and is offering no confidence in how this is handled or if it is fixed for new builds. has anyone heard anything?

First world problems... boo hoo my truck is taking a little longer. Not to invalidate anyone's frustration, but in the grand scheme of everything going on in the world, I am extremely thankful for the position and situation I am in.

well here is a comparison of the portland railyard (circled in yellow) and the silverbow railyard in the top right corner. these are to scale to each other. i just dont see why they would start up another regional port railyard, but what do i know :)

forgot to add, portland is also a ship unload port in addition to a rail unload.

Since my salesman refuses to respond to any messages since I made my deposit, finally just contacted the sales manager for an update. Was as simple as sending a single screenshot...he said the salesman is older and not up on how to do things...

Got the train info and did the CSX tracking and found out it was "constructively placed" in Jessup, MD (destination for pickup by ground) yesterday at 4pm. Per Google: When the railroad tries to deliver a railcar and the customer cannot receive it for one reason or another, the railroad places it in CP or constructive placement status. This means that they are washing their hands of it and the demurrage clock is ticking. Actual placement or AP is when the railcar is placed or spotted on the customer’s property.

So that means it's sitting on CSX's siding, I assume because not enough help to get it offloaded.

Dealer just contacted me saying Toyota emailed him that my truck would be delivered to the dealership by this evening. The tracking still shows, "F", has this happened to anyone else?

EDIT: The tracker just changed to "G" status. FINALLY!!! So excited to get my first ever truck. Trading in a 2014 Grand Cherokee.

My dealer told me they were shutting down production in June. But I’ve seen your post and others stating that June is their build date…crazy the amount of information/disinformation we’re all told throughout the country

How are you going to quote my picture that CLEARLY shows it’s going to Silver Bow Montana and not Portland? It not going to Portland.

Hope this is the case. That’s just what he tells me.

Put the vin in the Toyota app and it says the order date was 02/2022. Allocated 5/19. Check this threads way to track the status: Dealer category “A” and hold status “available”…but still told it’ll be July before it gets there.

I don’t follow how it’s taking so long but is what it is. Sounds like we’re all suffering from the same first world problem

With an allocation date of 5/19 it's likely your build date is sometime in June. Once it's built, your temp VIN will stop working and you'll need to get the permanent VIN from the dealer to confirm it's in "F" status.

I just checked the system and my truck is now listed as “g” status so hopefully the dealer calls me tomorrow to pick it up.

the regional port is still portland, doesnt mean they cant still send it to remote facility by rail that is cheaper than shipping by truck transport.

Tracked the rail car my truck was on this morning (was waiting for offload yesterday evening) and it's now arrived at a different port but empty so I believe that means my truck is sitting at the port waiting to be loaded on a truck. It's only about 2.5-3 hours, wonder if they're hiring for the day, I'd gladly haul it up here! :D

My truck had the build date for today and the temp vin has stopped working. Looks like the factory in Texas is still moving along.
