Only problem is people breaking their necks to get a look as I go by. In all seriousness, 1,800 miles on the ODO and just got back from towing my RV for ~500 miles, no issues.

Oooo dooogie, this thread was HUGE when the Tacoma refreshed happened (everything whistling, gauge cluster scratching, cheap seats), not sure if the 22 Tundra is going through the same kinda stuff but it will get fixed.

You just mad ppl having good experiences with their new trucks? Or the fact that yours is 6 years old and possibly can’t get a hold of a new tundra for whatever reason?
There was literally no need for your flawed observation. Almost everyone posted with no issues.

7520 miles to be exact and no issues. Just came back from my first tow with the camper and it towed better than my 2016.

some good speculation there, but no I'm not mad about anything. And why would I not want people to have good experiences with tundras, I have had 4 and looking to buy the 5th one.

    So sorry to disappoint.

its good to hear from people with no issues

Other than a software update, stock tires, and not seeing a rock at In-N-Out ripping off the plastic end piece of the passenger running board, my truck has been great. 7100 miles in 2.5 months

This thread and forum is so similar to TacomaWorld.com after the 3rd gen Tacoma was released it's scary. Guys with the old trucks crapping on the new trucks to make themselves feel good about buying the old design, guys with the new trucks getting defensive about any criticism of the new design. It's even the exact same back and forth comments. It's ugly, you're just jealous cause you can't afford one, etc. It's really a pretty interesting lab for studying human behavior.

In the end, both the second gen and the third gen tacomas had pros/cons. Same with this Tundra.

Actually, I was quite intrigued to get a newer vehicle when they announced 2022, but after seeing all the 'features' they've added to a powertrain and suspension(and interior..) made me concerned what the asking price would be when they come out.
I wasn't wrong, it's a luxury vehicle price tag now. Is it wrong to have some sort of quality control up to par?

I keep thinking it's like when the 100 series came out. "mall cruiser, why mess with dependable, ugly, too expensive, toyota doesn't care about us, why IFS". That was just from me. Others were mean about it. Wife laid down an ultimatum with our first kid for a less rough vehicle and the 80 turned into a 100 series. Lasted 300K miles and had it for like 15 years.

I have the fuel gauge issue, but unless you're someone who runs their truck right to empty, its not a big deal. Fill up once a week (or when you think you need to) . I'm confident they'll get it sorted out. I'm quite happy with my truck, buying experience, and service experience so far. All what I come to expect over the years buying Toyota's (3 Tundra's, one Tacoma).

1,000 mi, only the small gap at rear window seals…absolutely love my truck.

It's pricey for sure but so are the other brands. Shop and compare is all you can do if you want/need a new truck. Complaining and bashing the new truck won't fix anything.

I also have had the fuel gauge issue a few times but knowing its amongst other trucks it doesn't bother me. Usually resets after I restart the truck or fill up. I do have to say the black paint on these trucks is so much more "weak" or "soft" then other vehicles I've owned. It scratches with the rub of a microfiber cloth. That's really only my big gripe. But it tows my 22' pontoon boat like a dream and is definitely a head turner. Lol. 5,600 miles and one oil change and I'm happy I traded in my 21' SR5.

3200 miles and plenty of road trips through the Colorado mountains. No issues. The rear window seals are poking out but that’s a known thing and isn’t a “problem” that’ll keep me from driving it. I’ll get that taken care of at the first service interval. Truck drives like a dream and I expect it to last a long time.

Purchased mine April 1sr this year. Over 12k miles and climbing daily. Only issues so far are minor except wind noise and that’s because I’m extremely picky about wind noise. Back window seal came from factory like many many others where it has a gap and a little section curling up.

Had few glitchy issues with the lane assist but turn it off and back on problem goes away and after 4 times hasn’t came back since.

Other than that no real issues and the issues mentioned above don’t affect the driving or reliability of the truck. Would purchase again tomorrow if it was time to replace yet.

She really did know how much I love ham and swiss. We both laughed at how you really want a 22 but just can't hang with all the cool kids. And thanks for the quote. Really shows how much you didn't take anything personal.
