    Towed a new toy home a few weeks back. Super impressed with how it towed with the falcon shocks. 70mph cruise set no sway. Passed everything except the gas stations. Not sure on weight but guessing around 7k for tractor and trailer.

    As pointed out, that trailer is causing a huge issue. Here is my boat that weighs about 1,500 lbs more…

    If you can back up the trailer with the lights disconnected and not hear the trailer brakes screaming it means your brakes are not working at all.

    I took it as sarcasm, but... one could go in reverse without being plugged in and the brakes locking up, just put the special key in the tongue to prevent the brakes from engaging.

    A 43 ft goose neck that hauls fencing supplies, a barbed-wire fencing machine, and a 4-wheeler. Half the time the fencing machine is swapped out for a skid steer with attachments when only a few posts need to be replaced. Fixing fence is not my favorite chore.

    I put a Wheeler's add-a-leave in my spring pack, a Hellwig EZ-990 on top and the black Sumosprings on ours. Hitch is 935# and only sagged an inch without WDH. I use the Anderson WDH and brought the back up the lost inch and nudged the front back down to within 1/4-inch unloaded. Towed through the state park between Plummer and St Maries Idaho just fine in S4 and Tow/Haul.

    Wow. Impressive, but that trailer (3 axles) is likely 14,000# or more. Bed looks like its bending down. Not a good setup.

    I really like mine. I went with the black ones. I did not notice any decrease in ride quality when unloaded. (I'm never fully unloaded with the cap). I installed them when I was just renting trailers, so I don't have a "before" perspective.

    My trailer is likely not as heavy as yours.

    This was before I finished setting up the wdh.

    Leer 100XR truck cap, 5100's on the middle setting. Ikon Add A leaf, Cooper Discover ATX3 275/70/18, Genuine Cooling Systems transmission cooler, chrome delete.

    Spent a week mountain biking with my family. EVO T2360, probably about the largest trailer I would personally want to tow with my truck.

    Not anywhere close to capacity but my buddy bought a 1967 StarCraft with the original ‘68 (yes) 40hp Evinrude and original seats. Thing was absolutely mint. Owner said “it lived a charmed life”. :rofl:

    So we drove a couple of hours into the mountains yesterday to pick it up.
    As expected, the ole shopping cart pulled her fine.

    As soon as I saw the bow, Starcraft was the first thought I had. That combo will shit n git. If that motor was well cared for and you use real gas with synthetic oil it will last many more years. The boat? You're never going to kill it. That era Starcraft was the golden era for aluminum boats.

    @Retired...finally

    yeah it was a great find on his part. Everything was well maintained. I don’t have YouTube but the video the guy sent of the motor running made it sound like a 4 stroke.
    He bought it from the 2nd owner. 1st owner took immaculate care of it obviously. Second owner continued that (for 7 years) and decided that he wanted to find one in rough shape and restore it. Plus had another boat he was working on (in first pic). Gotta pick your mornings to use it as things could get bumpy quick but serendipitous find, fun drive/trip yesterday.

    Get bumpy quick? Oh yeah. I have a 5 meter Alumicraft with a Honda 45 and it beats me up in anything but the smoothest water. The Starcraft being a much better hull design will ride better than my Alumicraft but it's still going to slap pretty hard. Good times, those older boats.
