I’m taking delivery tomorrow morning . 2022 Tundra TRD PRO at north central Texas Dealership. I keep being told by they have been available for a week or more but have not seen (photos or video) of but one, which was driven off the lot by an owner in Amarillo, Texas. It was immediately driven over 800 miles to get mods done. I suspect many will be popping up this week.

 

Have a deposit hold on a Limited DC TRD-OR in Lunar Rock... Have been building my ideal Tundra for months on the site, and lucked out in finding this one about an hour from home. Happened to see it within 15 min of it hitting the dealers site (according to the sales guy) and snatched it.

While it's not a 100% match (I really wanted a CrewMax), I'm willing to go take a look when it arrives. I just sold my 14 DC yesterday, and my concern is hearing that the new DC back seats are even smaller leg room wise. My kid is growing, not shrinking.

Oh no I used my time to procure high demand items and sold them at the fair market value.

Make sure when you retire you sell your stocks for what you paid for them. If you move please sell your your house for what you paid for it. Better not trade in your car and get more than what you paid for it, that would be for shame.

 

Yea, it's definitely going to be a big decision to make... Unfortunately, if I decide to pass on this, it could be months and months before the perfect truck comes up, if not a year... Time will tell i suppose...

I was just quoted $39K and some change two days ago residual for my $55K SR5.

Sounded incredibly high to me when you consider over the course of the 3 year lease you would be paying about $26K. After paying $26K and you decide to buy, you're then financing $40k still. Didn't make sense to me so I passed.

I mean, if things stayed the same with the insanity of the used market right now, I have no doubt that the truck will still be worth at least $40K, if not more in 3 years.

But we may be in a very different place than we are now in 3 years. IMO the bubble of the insane used vehicle prices is going to pop real soon. But they're basing residuals on what the market looks like now which is inflated beyond reason.

 

Just brought this home two days ago! SR5 CrewMax 4X4. I'm absolutely in love with the black and white theme. Leveling kit going on this week and 34 or 35's going on soon after.

Agreed. I’m wanting to see a platinum with those badges. I think it will make more since because of all the black trims already.

Beautiful truck! it's hard to tell from the angle, is it a 6.5 bed?
I ordered a Platinum crewmax 6.5 bed in November 21. The dealer can't tell me an eta.

that's a 6.5' bed, look for the distance between the wheel well and the front of the box, 5.5 is about 6", 6.5 is about 18".

Thanks! I actually had a different truck on order that was supposed to be delivered in a couple more weeks. I happened to check the SE Toyota site on Friday that shows the availability dates and saw the hybrid Platinum. When the dealer said it was available, I switched my reservation over. Guess I got really lucky. Absolutely loving this truck so far and getting a little over 23 mpg which is a nice plus.

You can go to the bottom of the filters and enter the zip code for your area. This would only work for dealers in the southeast region. It's pretty accurate though. Mine showed up 5 days before the availability date.
