I did a ton of research before pulling the trigger on their new Aluma coilovers. I too found some horror stories of some pretty gnarly failures but like @shifty` mentioned it seemed to really only be the old BOSS models that were having all the problems.

The newer aluma series have pretty darn good reviews from people running them so far, and the price point for some coilovers was not bad which is why I ultimately got them. That being said fingers crossed that they learned from their mistakes and these don't fail but so far really loving how they handle and ride. Just my two cents

BTW @shifty`, mine is an AC 4wd like yours, and this kit feels awesome.

haha sorry @bmf4069 ...I was considering those for a while too, there is always going to be people that run into problems or have a negative opinions and thats totally fine. if mine fail i will most likely be pretty pissed and become one of them lol but for now as long as you are happy with them that is all that matter. so far im very pleased.

It's the red ones I saw failing everywhere, I think it was all BOSS stuff, at least the ones you couldn't blame for user error. Which kit are you running?

AFAIK their Aluma series is made by Elka across the board

I don't think Toytec has ever made their own shocks in house. They've worked with other companies like Eibach and Bilstein to rebrand their shocks to certain specs but Toytec themselves never made anything.

I upgraded to the aluma rear shocks cause I didn't realize it was bilsteins up front too.

I'm far past this situation and I've eaten most of the money that Shit-tec cost me. I will never recommend a Shit-tec branded product to anyone however.

You guys are filling me with joy less than two weeks after I’ve installed the BOSS coilovers. Gotta say that so far, I’m extremely happy.

Happy Friday everyone from the (B)east Coast. I picked up my truck late today and first impression...Feels way more like a truck, sits as high as my 2004 Tahoe on 20"wheels. Rather that commenting on specific pics, I'm uploading a bunch unsensored then I'll make some comments and try to answer questions. I'll take some more pics this weekend with my boat hooked up. I'm eager to see how the back end sits. So here goes

Try and clean the grease off the uniballs. They need to be lubed with tri flow every now and then

Seems a bit higher than I was expecting. No trimming or cutting was needed. Only adjustment was a steering stop on driver side. I'll get pics of this later

I'm gonna be the guy that says Ooooooo, your paint shop painted up the tailgate handle?

The main thing that's been stopping me from getting that handle (that's the Master Tailgater's handle, right?) is the lack of paint-matched (or anything other than black plastic) options. Looks good!

It's so much easier that way. Leaves you with lots of extra time to think about other stuff you don't want to do, or need to procrastinate on.

I had my paint shop do everything I had. The Tailgate handle is aftermarket with a camera. As someone recently said...one of the best upgrades. I will add that another one is the tailgate lift assist, besides the paint job I've received more comments about the tailgate lift assist. Its awesome

WOW, that looks terrific, Color, Parts count, that's important, and the engineering that went into this. Well Done Laddie!

A question for you, where did you get the tailgate latch with a camera? I want one!
Then, how did you strain relief & protect the camera/pwr cable where it transitions from the tailgate to the body??
I'm at this point right now with my truck, I just haven't found what I'm looking for, until now!

If you have already posted on this , please point me in the right direction!

Thanks, and as stated, THAT"S A REALLY NICE RIDE!

Nice ass truck, my only comment would be is that I see an alignment cam that is upside down.
