So I currently have been running the Camburg 1.5 uniball UCA's. I have contact issues with the tie rod ends at full lock while articulating. My alignment guy says the camburgs introduce 5 degrees of caster, which is a bit much. I'm currently at 6.4 degrees with my alignment. The Camburgs are also only rated for 0-3" of lift which is kind of negated by the new spindles. but still a thought.

I say that to say this... The bushings are in need of replacement. He reccomended the SPC UCA's. I dont have the cash for that right now and 5.29's are next on my list. Should I buy the $100 bushing kit or go in with brand new stock UCA's which are sitting in a box in my garage? I shouldnt need to realign with the replacement bushings, just a check to confirm, but I will certainly need another alignment going back to stock.

No, I am not a pavement princess. I'm a land surveyor and 90% of my miles are pavement but only half the hours are on road. I don't usually do anything crazy, just work. I do get in some sticky situations though.

6.4 degrees is a lot. Gonna have to ask but have you tried dialing back the caster, by adjusting the LCA, or is 6.4 the minimum?

I can’t find my latest alignment sheet. I recall he said it was down to 5.8 on the DS and 6.1 on the PS. He said Toyota spec is around 3.5-3.8°

Check with RC...many of the bracket or bracket/coilover combo lifts require stock UCAs. This may be the case in your situation. I am guessing most of the lift comes from the bracket and then maybe 2 inches from the coilovers and if that is true the Camberg units may have too much caster built into them. RC can tell you for sure what is needed for UCA in their kit. It may be listed in the install/spec instructions which can be found here https://www.roughcountry.com/toyota...77623749&utm_term=|pla-1616642480139|c||75450

It also depends on your lift height. Camburg arms are not designed to be run at stock height, but rather at a 2.5-3inch lift height. RC lift should be designed at stock angle arms

I just got off the phone with RC. They told me that all of their lifts over 3 1/2 inches are designed to use the stock components. All their geometry‘s are based off of it. It looks like I have my answer. Thanks, y’all.

True. But, at that price point, it’s unrealistic.

Camburgs websites list the control arms for a 1 to 3 inch lift. I originally purchased the Camberg upper control arms in conjunction with my Bilstein 6112 set up

6112 puts more angle on the arms. If you’re just running 6 inches on the RC you are at stock angles

Camburgs are roughly the same price as SPC…

Not when I already own the Camburgs and only need the $100 bushing kit.
