Rate My Bed Rust

    While I don't think anything was ever bolted in (I've known this truck since I was a kid & I don't think it's ever done much hard work), I hope you're right about the last part.

    That's my thoughts right now. Despite the milage, she's owned it since new and I know it's been well maintained. And since there's no 'killer' rust, it has some life in it.

    Problems with the truck: bed rust, faded roof paint, missing gas cap door. She drives great. Not bad! (Other than fuel costs right now, but that's what my Jetta is for I guess.) I suppose you fellas will have to welcome a newbie soon! Thanks for the advice (and... conversation ;)).

    Here's a picture of the bed rust from underneath for future reference. It looks like some of the bed mounting points got pretty rusty basically, I guess they might have trapped water, salt, etc up in there at some point. Other than around the rust spots that go through it's pretty solid.

    It's probably fine for now, I might address it at a future date if it seems necessary or gets worse.
