This is a brand-new third brake light 07 to 14 tundra and also was told that works for up to a 2021 Tundra.

    Free bump.

I've read it's a pain in the ass to exchange the third brake light, which is too bad because there are some nice aftermarket options.

Not that hard. @2020Platinum has a video installing his. The key is not dropping your nuts. :D

In the spectrum of mods out there it’s not that hard. For me it was pretty hand- hurty reaching up under the liner with the correct angle to get the nuts off and on.

Does this light come with a new gasket? Mine was pretty dry rotted so I ran some silicone around the light but I was curoius
