I tracked my Tundra while being transported on the Train. I did a little google research and found this. You'll need the train and railcar #s this can be found once its loaded onto a train. You can get the info from your dealer via the delivery timeline tool. My Train id is TTGX railcar is 981661 once you have this info call the number below.

Touch Trace: Get the tracking information you need over the phone, at any time, from any place with Touch Trace Telephone Tracking: Trace rail cars with Touch Trace: dial 1-877-ShipCSX (1-877-744-7279), options 2-1-3. The system was updating when I called, but I spoke to customer service and they tracked my Tundra for me. Its at Lordstown its rail drop off location!! Now just waiting for it to be loaded onto a truck and dropped off to the dealer.

    Hope this helps out.

lol about 80-90% of the dealers wont give this info to a customer from what i have seen. luckily i dont have that issue. my only issue is that my reserve request hasnt even been picked up yet by the assembly line computer system to actually allocate a platinum to be built and sent to me.

I tried it and it still says it’s in Texas for over a week.

Anyone know if status is changed to “g” what that means exactly? My truck was changed to g today and my dealer said they expect to receive it in the next 48 hours. I thought g meant it’s received by the dealer?

From a strictly rail transit perspective that trip is about 24hrs (assuming it is running the high-speed route and no service interruptions). How long it takes to get processed in terminal is the million-dollar question. Probably another 2-3 days before it finds a truck.

Can a dealer possibly pull up my vin and see where my truck is or give insight on how to track it by train? It has an "F" next to status so I know its on a train somewhere.

Your truck entered into the processing stage on 5/25 and is still sitting in that status. The next stage is "Rail Depart" but the system is literally dark now until the truck shows up at dealer.

I’m happy to report my truck arrived at the dealer later that day! I took delivery of my truck over the weekend. Love it so far!

there are 4 stages at this point

A - allocation. That means the dealer has been given that specific truck. It isn’t built until the very end of that status

F - freight. Pretty obvious what it means but it’s now begun the journey to dealer.

GT - ground transport. this status is now given to dealers as a heads up that the vehicle will be arriving in the next day or two.

G - ground. vehicle is physically on ground

Gotcha so it should still be sitting down in Texas somewhere? Do you by chance have access to the progress page with the blue bar saying what stage its in? Thank you

They have done it for a few months now. It’s a very quick status. It’ll turn GT for less than 24 hours as it’s sort of our alert that is going to be here in next day or two.

Would you mind looking up one other?

    VIN: 5TFNC5EC7NX001044

I recently saw someone who had a build date way before mine and it took a month before it was on the train. Super curious if mine also says that long in TX before actually getting loaded on the rail. My build date was 4/29 I believe. And was told it should be here by the end of the month (which obviously didn’t happen since it’s 6/1 today).

Do you mind looking up 5TFMA5EC3NX006680 as well? Dealer won’t provide me any info regarding the progress page. If not, all good. If you can, much appreciation in advance!

This process didn’t quite seem to work for me unfortunately. I was finally able to get my rail car number from my dealer, but when I went through the phone menu it said “status not available.” I was able to connect to a customer service agent, but they informed me they are told not to provide location information to customers and that all of that needs to go through the dealer exclusively. Toyota really doesn’t make this easy for us…

In the same boat as you, my truck is listed as arrived at the rail yard since May 30th. The dealership is 14 miles away from the yard, hopefully the truck gets delivered by Friday or Saturday.

Cool info. I tried every which way I could could back last September to find where the port was located for my truck. Lordstown. Huh. Makes me wonder how many cats are stolen once the trucks get unloaded or after port installed options are installed and they are parked outside waiting on a semi.
