So I have seen some postings about this issue but never saw the solution. I recently purchased a 2019 tundra Trd sport. After I got home work one day I noticed the bed was crooked (passenger side near the tailgate). Notified the dealership I got it from but took it to the one closer to my house to have them try to figure out the issue to save me the hour drive. The technician I spoke with there told me that all of these trucks come in off the trailer with crooked/uneven beds. Needless to say, I will be taking it back to the original dealership this coming Tuesday. Has anyone else experienced this issue? How did you fix it? It bothers the hell out of me

Check it when your tank is empty. 38 gal of fuel is alot of weight.

Front corner of the passenger side of the bed is UP. Front corner of the driver side of the bed is DOWN (look down the top rails of each side of the bed in the photo, you can see the passenger side much more clearly). It seems your fuel tank (if it's full) is weighing down the front corner of the driver side bed, causing the bed to twist.

I understand what you’re saying because I thought that too initially but that does not seem to be the case. At the angle I took the photo, the tailgate should have been in line with the bed rail against the cab. Instead, the tailgate seems to be on an angle and everything is sloped towards the tailgate, passenger side corner. Also, truck was at less than half a tank at the time of the photo

The rear half of the frame is more flimsy than a wet noodle. Easiest option is just to ignore it. The good thing is you cant see it from the drivers seat lol.

Ahh I gotcha. Well then I'm out of ideas. If it's not a frame issue, then the bed could be warped? Hmm. I wouldn't lose sleep over it. If you can find a completely flat and level surface, it'd be worthwhile to take some measurements and document it (both frame and bed). Then send them to Toyota. They may help you out.

I have the same problem with my front bumper. Noticed it about 3 months after buying new. One side is about a ¼” gap the other side about an inch

Either a warped bed or maybe a suspension issue? I started looking at the shocks/leafs and measured one of the shocks to be .5” shorter than the other. Could have just been the spot I measured to with a hell of a lot of human error but the shorter side was on the passenger side

Hmm... maybe a leaf issue. Tundras are known for their weak leaf packs. I upgraded to Dobinsons leafs.

The shocks are for rebound control. They don't provide any meaningful lift, maybe a very very tiny bit, but you can compress the shock with bodyweight when it's out of the truck. I guess if the shock was completely blown out you'd have a touch of sagging. Maybe you can swap the shocks from one side to other, just to rule it out (compress both of them while out of the truck and take notes on the amount of force needed to compress it)

I'd pull some frame measurements, and also measure the distance between the axle and frame. Check the measurements from the leaf spring shackles to frame as well.

Kinda just guessing here and throwing out different things to try. Hopefully this forum can give you some ideas to help you get this problem solved. I'll keep brainstorming.

@amuffley Yes something wrong with your bed or suspension highly likely. Even the 38 gallon tank is only 250 pounds of gas, would never make the bed sag that much even if it is a little bit towards one side... LOL First measure the height of each bumper with your bed empty on nice flat ground. That will tell you if the bed is the culprit or the suspension. If it's the suspension you need to drop the spare, crawl under and really inspect the leafs, crossmembers and everything that keeps the bed where its supposed to be. Also could be something as simple as the bed really DID come warped from the factory. Previous owner MAY have overloaded the heck out of it.

Took my truck to the dealer last Wednesday, got a call Thursday stating Toyota knows about the issue on its tundras for years 18-19. They assured me it isnt a frame issue but a bed and bumper mount problem. It’s a body shop rn getting fixed. Supposed to be getting it back today so we’ll see

I finally got my truck back on Tuesday of this past week. The body shop said it looked like the previous owner had overweighed the bed and took a corner too fast. Regardless, new leafs, shackles and bed mounts along with an alignment. Truck drives like it’s brand new now. Will post a pic soon
