Searched long and hard for this truck in the configuration it was and in the condition it was in and a mere 8 months after I got it someone decided they wanted to destroy it.
This happened today about 2 hours before the posting so I don't know any official damage but the frame looked straight may be fixable but not gonna get any hopes. They hit the rear passenger tire on the front tread and spun me 180° rear axel is obviosuly way out of place. 20220525_132406.jpg 20220525_131517.jpg 20220525_132418.jpg 20220525_134534.jpg 20220525_132421.jpg 20220525_132825.jpg

A crying shame, but hey Toyota’s irrefutable safety levels shown in action.

Sorry to see this. I can only imagine your frustration. Hopefully you’re unscathed at least. If it doesn’t end of being repaired let me know. I’m in PA so I can keep an eye out on the used market for something similar and it would be within reasonable driving distance for you.

That sucks! Hopefully it's fixable. If not, give it 30 seconds and someone will ask about buying your XB's.

Sucks. I feel for you man this is one worry I have with all the time and effort we take modding these trucks to our liking and one idiot can take it away in an instant. Hope you aren’t injured and everyone walked away from that even the other driver

Had almost the same, identical situation a few months back. I had my dream truck 1 month before I was hit. As you can see the damage looks identical. I was stressed out for over a month waiting for final word on the frame. NOT A SCRATCH!! Got my truck back after 14k in insurance work. Good luck man! I have faith you'll be fine.Tun1.jpg

Similar but front. Happened in August. Ripped upper control arm and lower control arm off. Hoped it didnt damage the frame, but it did. Know what? Still didn't total the truck but they replaced the frame instead. And I still dont have it back. Was supposed to get it last week but has been pushed to next week. So damn nervouse about it never being the same.

And was the other drivers fault. Switched lanes and smacked into doing 75 on the highway. Totalled her car and she lost her liscense.

Ouch. Glad you were okay. Sadly looks like the truck took quite a hit. Axle, Bed, driveshaft, and whatever other unseen damage happened. yeah I wouldn't get your hopes up too much. Depends a lot on your mileage though because that's what insurance is going to base value off and whether it's worth it or not to repair it.

Condolences man but I bet that is totally fixable. Given the value of these trucks right now, it'll be hard to total that out. Slap some new leaf spring mounts on, new leaf pack, a shock or two, and send it back home to you

Definitely seems fixable, all new rear suspension for sure. The frame looked straight. Airbags never deployed and was still able to open and close the tailgate with no problem after the accident. Truck only has 55k miles on it.

Fingers crossed your cats don't get swiped while waiting on repairs. That would add insult to injury. You might want to mention that to whoever has possession of the truck. Adding that cost to the repair total might put the cost over the edge.

    Glad you weren't hurt.
