be careful. i user was trying to fertilize his dead spot in his yard and laid it too thick. it's not concrete. i told him one handful was more than enough, but he used 5 handfuls.

2 of my newbies went though chainsaw certification last week, and I promised them they could do some blowdown cutting on the trails today. I get to sit back and watch, but will probably be doing a quiet boil as a project I could probably get done in 1-2 hours will take them all day.
At least they will get some experience

 

good question. unfortunately, people don't realize girth gets you more places (most of the time). so extending may be fine, but only to a certain extent. then girth is lost.

I'm having computer difficulties, so if 5 rows of the same quotes pop up, it's not my fault.

I passed out about 12:30, right when the storms hit. Torrential rain but as far as I can tell, it wasn't the Armageddon storm they had claimed it would be.


I woke up at 3am, hiked over to get the Bifmobile and then got Mrs. Banditos 4runner from the neighbors car port.

The other Colorado river goes through town. We are on the high side of it so we never need to worry about flooding. It also helps that our house is pier and beam and a couple of feet off of the ground. I want to say the old part of the house has 8 inch beams underneath. The engineer that came and inspected the house for us said to never let anybody tell us we didn't need them (not sure who'd be trying to take them and why) but he was an old dude who probably buys 2022 Tundras for cash.

News is pretty much covering the shooting (which it should be) and not the storm so I'm not sure how other towns fared, hopefully well.
