Would BMS (Blind Spot Monitor) still work with a aftermarket bumper?

I hit the rear left bumper cover on my 2016 Toyota Tundra, and I am planning to replace the bumper end.
Blind Spot Monitor is behind this bumper corner. Are they made of any particular material or can I buy an aftermarket Rear Bumper end?
Would my BMS system still work?

I would get the OEM part. They aren't too expensive.

The OEM cover is not that expensive. Between OEM and aftermarket you probably won't save any significant amount.
If you go aftermarket keep in mind that BSM only works behind a plastic bumper, just in case you are considering something that is metal.

Thanks for your response! I wished I would post this question a week ago since I did buy Metal Chrome extensions.
After installation, the "Check Blind Stop Monitor System" went on. Going through the forum I learn my stupid mistake!
The installer took off the inner brackets and mounted the sensors somewhere else thinking it was rear assistant ballast or something!!
Now I am buying all the parts, painting them, and taking them to proper installation. The problem now is that I am reading that the BMS might require calibration! Expensive mistake!
