Haha I’ve never heard that before. I like the flavor over Doritos but I won’t turn them down either

Up until a few years ago when my previous truck's deck ate it, I had the cassette single for One that had The Prince as the B-side which I don't think came out on a full album until much later, too lazy to look it up. I flat wore that tape out.

Gotta be honest, though. I didn't love the AJFA full album as much as albums that came before it, it felt like a turning point towards an over-polished sound I didn't like.

scAmazon has some great boxed kits for e-clips that are worthwhile. Offer is on the table though, if I can dig mine up, I'm happy to snail mail you a variety.

I'd hope you'd tell me if I had a booger in my nostril also. It sucks to see those things later and realize everyone else couldn't be arsed to say something ;)

This hits home, mostly because I haven't finished wiring for the Homelite mirror. It's installed and everything is lined up to get power. Yet I'm letting my OCD on finishing the job most-cleanly the first time wrt the 12v ACC wire prevent me from using it. I need to just bite the bullet and add-a-fuse for now, it's either that or pull the gauge cluster to probe the IC harness for an ACC circuit I can plug-and-play off of, but I dunno if it exists in our access or regular cab trucks. Meh.

I'd split. Do the one large part that would free up space but take the least time, then do one smaller thing that would add functionality. Maybe that's the ticket?

Keep up the good work, pops! You must be super stoked, a lot of us who start out with girls 1st end up with ... more girls!

The more my son started to grow up, I came to realize that little bastard is so much like me when I was his age. I often find myself more annoyed with him than anything, "Gah, I did the same thing... what the hell would I tell myself back then?" and none of it works. I actually need to mention that to my dad next time I see him, see what his response is.

I share a lot of these sentiments you just wrote, strangely. Or maybe you're just doing a great job of putting into words what being a dad is like...

So, @shifty` , let’s see how well this windoor ring holds up. It seems preferable to the e clip, it’s pretty strong and I don’t think it matters if it moves around as long as it doesn’t pop off. I’ve already modified the original design to get it to work properly with a motherboard stand-off as a bushing to ensure proper lock / unlock. And if I get into too much headache I may just try buying a brand new one and hope the design has improved slightly but IIRC they were difficult to find and maybe no longer made?

also, yeah, it’s nice that you tell me my fly is down. But f you. But yeah you are nice. If I pass shifty QA someday I’ll feel like I achieved something. Good to have high standards.

I got zero done yesterday but that’s ok. Tricky to know what is going to work out smoothly vs what is likely to balloon into a big effort. Also not sure what would make the biggest impact on usability outside of locks and alignment.

I makes me feel pathetic but I think blackout decals on the white paint might make me happiest of all. The chrome decals just look so dated compared to the black SR5’s I put on.

Man, don't make my standards your standards, you'll be like me and literally never get anything done. "Analysis paralysis" is a bitch!

Go smoked. Smoked is the new black. Chrome is very 2000s and out of fashion. Black is 2010s and has been heading out of fashion for a couple of years. Smoked is the new hybrid fashion for the 2020s, after which chrome will be back in fashion again. I'm just going to hang out as-is until 2030 when chrome is back in fashion again.:bananadance:

I could see enjoying smoked on some paint but black on white is really where I am happiest, it pops so much. Plus I already have these. But still, if they increase in availability to where it's cheap and easy to do smoked, I'd consider it. Definitely anything other than chrome, yuk.

    upload_2022-5-23_6-27-37.jpg

It does seem like a match to the grey wheels. I could live with it, just don't think I've seen much available yet.

Spray-on tint. Clearcoat over that. This is what I've seen people in the ricer world do, but you may be able to achieve similar effect in a better way using vinyl wraps. Wonder if anyone makes a translucent smoked vinyl wrap?

Looking like Autumn in May over there...

Purchased two models of energy suspension’s body mounts. One made for the latest taco (84109G) and the other the t100 (84105G) since they’re not able to provide size specs. Each for $99 and $140 respectively. I’ll report back which is the better fit since Im breaking new ground here.

What'd you do for the plastic parts on the bumper and grille? Are they painted dark grey/black?

This last Thursday I did my bed swap. Sunday I got a deal on a mid rise snug top. Just missing the tailgate.

Finally pulled the trigger on the q logics sub enclosure!
Had to rip out the storage box under the back seat of my AC
Wiring was easy ran the power wire down the driver side under the carpet and RCAs and remote wire down the passenger side. Amp is under the passenger side seat. I went with 2 kicker comp C 8in 4ohm dual voice coil subs and wired them down to 1 ohm. These subs were the closest match for the available air space in the enclosure.

Nice! This is essentially my setup as well, except went with CompRT 43CWRT81, DVC 1ohm so I could land with either 1ohm or 4ohm load at the amp for some flexibility.

Curious, what's the height on your amp?
How'd you secure it to the floor, bracket, fasteners, something else?
Did you need to cut out any carpet?
Any interference when sliding the passenger seat at full tilt forward or back?

(I need to get my amp in some time this year)

I have a Rockville krypton M1 I bought the subs amp and wiring kit as a package. Works great imo.
The amp is only 2.2in tall and fits perfectly under the seat (I have the bench seat) forward or back, leaned back no rubbing. I pulled the wires through the existing cut in the carpet behind the housing for the passenger side seatbelt.
I haven’t secured it to the floor just yet. Planning on taking a thin piece of wood and mount it under the carpet with some industrial Velcro strips. Then just mount the brackets to the piece of wood through the carpet.

Don't go that route. You don't need an ankle breaker in the event of sudden impact or stops.

Better option is to slide the thin wood under the carpet, drill the amp to it with the carpet in between. It wouldn't hurt to put the hook side of Velcro on the amp just to beef it up. But I still wouldn't love that setup.

Typically what we'd do at the shop for a no-sheetmetal-drill situation is the lift carpet, liquid-nail 1/4" or 3/8" MDF to the floor, reinstall carpet, and drill amp into the wood. Much more secure. No permanent holes as long as you choose your fastener carefully.

Yes, the front and rear plastic bumper trims are new and are painted semi-gloss black. The grille is new as well but not painted. When I get my teq grille, I may have it painted to match the bumper trim
