I’m not certain the Tundra will be done by San G. Nor the Tacoma really. Tundra is full swing but a monster project. Tacoma is small chip shots with no real time. In my dreams I am Erik and I get something new done every day.

I thought it would be cool to have a daughter. Haven’t really had a connection like that since my mom passed. My sis and I aren’t close.

That's fine. I'll just pick you up. I have time because I'm lucky, and I'm also working my way into retirement. May has been especially productive as I've had two ear surgeries, which make me feel like I'm underwater, but I'll probably be working again next week.

Technically if you came solo we could all fit in your ridge line, but the wife won’t allow the dog to travel without a shell and I wouldn’t want a bunch of fur all over your sweet ride. Plus I want to bring bikes.

The Tacoma will suffice unless the wife wants in and forces the minivan. We shall see. The Tacoma is capable, but I really should have shell lighting for camping. Very doable though as the Switch-Pros is begging to be used and if there is one thing I have in spades it’s wire.

I’d rather bring the Tundra because it’d be more fun to learn about it and maybe even have you guys drive it and tell me what else to do.

Ok, since I have several dozen items on my list, now that I’ve tackled a few security issues, I have two options:

    1. Continue focusing on stuff that’s already on the truck but not finished / not complete.
    2. Focus on clearing big parts to make room.

I’m split on what makes the most sense. Technically the biggest box right now is the bushwhacked fender flares. Then the side mirrors.

However, the passenger headlight keeps popping out of its retaining rod and that’s a legit concern. Plus I think I’m ready to retire the clear corners for good and install the OEM ones. So focusing on the headlights could make sense.

Alternatively, the Gentex harness would be a nice functional gain, temp would be welcome and hopefully I can retire the garage opener.

Usability-wise, the front camera would be really nice to have. But I suspect I’ll wait until we know for sure what’s happening with the teq grilles.

So, yeah, hmm. What to do, what to do.

It's stressful to have parts on and not finished to me. I lost a light and also moved my rack back and need to clean up the wiring. I'm on that tomorrow - easy stuff. Big stuff needs mindset and time.

Functionality wise, alignment, leaf arch and front bumper are probably the big items. But for stuff I can do myself it’s tough to pick the best ROI.

maybe door sill protectors? Lol :)

You guys have favorites? I checked with waze to see it reading 5-10 high which doesn't bother me too much b/c I'm good with driving this truck on the road grampa style, especially before alignment.

My yellowbox is one of the items lost due to fraudulent mail forwarding, haven't yet ponied up for a 2nd purchase yet, clinging to some hope that maybe I get it back somehow but USPS said consider it gone.

Shit wasn't easy. A lesser man would have thrown away the "out" light after bench testing. I did not believe the LED quit. Morimoto sucks with QC and design. But I fixed it, after hours of work...

I play with several, the one I'm using now has a simple speedo. Or I use that drag race one which is cool, told me my top speed in the desert when I could not be looking.

Finished the passenger side O2 sensors today. I did the driver side a couple of weeks ago because that side was throwing a code.

A few tips for anyone who hasn’t done it. The passenger side front is the hardest. Getting that stupid plug unplugged took me 2 hrs. Please don’t laugh. Driver side rear I was able to hammer on a smaller wrong size socket to get the rusted nut off. No bueno on the passenger side rear. No socket size would grab or it was too small to hammer on. So I cut into the nut with a dremel cutting disc to create a barb. Then the socket grabbed and it came off. Took me 2 hrs for driver and 4 hrs passenger. Again please don’t laugh. I have a history of breaking stuff when I lose patience so I was glad I just kept trying and finally got it. Here is a pic of all the tools it finally took for the job.

Bought the tundra a daily driver, my wife’s not as thrilled about it as I am . Funny thing is the tundra was suppose to be the dd in place of the Cummins.

anyways 04 Jetta tdi, 5-speed manual. I have a serious problem with modifying cars. Already checked on tunes and a few other go fast goodies :bananadead:

Had a lot planned, per normal finished 1/3rd of it. I recently pushed the rack back, needed to re-wire side lights for the new distance. That went swimmingly. I just lost one of 4 marker lights on a run. I figured I blew the wringing, but it was the build quality of the lights harness that Fed me. Finally fixed that.

My rack is a Frontrunner, modded for my use. They are great, but if you want to run hard and also have 100 or whatever pounds up high, make sure you are locked in like a cage. I'm far from that and working to get close-er. Shit hasn't tossed yet - but the evidence is there that it could if I don't address it.

my 2.7l Taco is my daily. but after my time in the Tundra, the Taco is feeling like tin foil over a roll cage. Keep wondering what the roof would do if I rolled.

Went out and tossed the spacer on the drive's side. Saw how close I have been to bottom out per zip-tie gauge.
