Joel sorry I'm late to this. Hopefully you didnt spend all night miserable. Steroid cream is great and all but use it with a topical anesthetic like benzocaine. Easiest place to find it is in products like 'boil ease' for burns, nupricanal for hemorroids uses dibucaine works the same.
Now if your serious about this and want to see a pharmacist show their worth suck it up and get this
20% benzocaine. Cant get it any stronger. Works almost immediately.

They said the nerves may regenerate and they'll have to do it again.
The more they do it, the less likely the nerves will regenerate.
If all this fails I'm looking at a fusion I don't want.

The block injections worked great for about 2 weeks.
I had to get 2 of those before the insurance would pay for the ablation.
They are going to do one side next week and the other side in 2 weeks.

What kind of surgery did you end up with?

 

I had a really rough reaction after a fishing trip to N Ontario one year. I got eaten alive by mosquitos and sleept in a fog of mosquito coil smoke for a week. My skin itched for weeks. Vagina cream and oatmeal baths kept me sane. The stuff is gold.

Absolutely! But it creates some new problems. Prior to the surgery, I had reached the point where I could only sleep on my back with about 3 pillows under my knees and pretty well dosed on opioids. Pain and med free now and that’s awesome. With the full fusion and 4” bolts into my hips, I have pretty limited flexibility. I don’t mind using the elastic shoe laces and 2’ shoe horn (can’t reach down there), but it’s really bad when I fall down, picture a turtle on its back. And the worst is my wife has to trim my toenails and she hates it. I keep picker-grabbers scattered everywhere for picking things up.

Thank you - I didn't scratch at all yesterday. At around 5 or 6 this morning, I couldn't take it any more and scratched like a mofo. It actually worked and I slept for a while. I'm itchy again but they itchy parts don't look so "angry." I'll be out an about (I'd rather stay home but I have to lift the heavy stuff for my wife) so I can send Mrs. Bandito into the store to get some of that stuff.

@RainMan_PNW I don't think I died. Nobody claimed the handguns. The one I couldn't remember was a Smithfield XD-45. I also have Remington Semi Auto shotgun - it's an older model. Got it on a trade at a gunshow when the original gun I bought was a dud. Dude gave it to me so I would leave him alone.

I don't have much of a collection, I bought a handgun to carry because of my sister-in-laws boyfriend. Real piece of shit. The 45's were too heavy so I bought the 9mm Sig.

Oops, Mrs. Bandito asked me what I was doing and just told me she's got dibs on the Sig... It's nice that she cares.

That 938 is a great little pistol. I had one for a while before I switched to the P365.

my only shotgun is a Remington model 11 that belonged to my great grandpa - it’s old and heavy but has a lot of history.

 

All I can say is holy shit! Now my back problems aren't so bad.
