First off I want to say discount tire direct is the best tire company I have ever bought from. I ordered some nitto ridge grapplers 35x12.5x18 load range f a month ago. I really wanted the ridge grapplers just love the look. Well the load range absolutely killed my mpg (13.5). I contacted discount tire direct they were able to get me a set of toyo at3s load range d for a free swap. Thought or opinions on the swap?

    Alot of them
The Ridge Grapplers are 74 lbs, and the Toyos are 66 lbs, so that will help some. Nitto and Toyo are the same company, so the Toyos will be fine.

i can confirm back in 2016 for our tacoma and again for our 2018 tundra, Discount Tire Direct website was problem free from start to finish. even calling them was hassle free and the tech was very knowledgeable on the offset/backspacing to ensure i didnt order the wrong offset/backspacing to ensure they fit. my original pick was completely wrong and would have hit the brake calipers on our 2016 tacoma. only downside is they are somewhat limited on color choices for toyota's but the selection otherwise of you stay black/machined/silver is awesome.

The reduction in weight will help some. But 35s on a Tundra dont do anything for MPG. AVG of 13.5 MPG on 35s is normal and even on the high side of MPG. You may get a few tenths to a half MPG better with the lighter tires, but they are still 35s so lots of rolling resistance and you have lost some gearing mechanical leverage going from 32s to 35s.

If you need better MPG, dont lift it and put some stock size Michelin Defenders on it, you will meet or exceed EPA MPG ratings.
