    The number one complaint of the late gen Taco is the overly MPG prioritizing transmission. A manual solves this.

    Technically you are correct but I think a manual transmission on a daily driver is like putting a padlock on the zipper on your pants, making something more difficult than it has to be :p when I'm in the woods and I'm on a greasy off camber Hill with rocks the last thing I want to be doing is the three pedal dance trying to make sure I don't stall the vehicle while also straddling one rock putting my tire on another rock and missing the log on the side.

    Unless they made that change for the 2023 model year you can still get the crew cab with the manual. I was looking at in transit allocations for dealerships and it still showed TRD off roads with the manual and full four doors

    The Toyota builder site shows the AC and the DC can have it, but DC has to have the shortest bed. It's not available on the DC with a 6 foot bed.

    IDK. Never drove one, so can only go off the reviews, and what most say is that the transmission is constantly trying to run in the highest gear it can. Most complaints were that if always has the wrong gear for the situation. A regear might help that, but I'd personally just rather have it as a manual trans than have to spend extra on an auto plus spending more to get it regeared.

    I’ve felt the difference between the gears and it definitely makes a difference in the RPM’s and doesn’t feel like it’s hunting for gears as much.

    I would prefer a manual as well. The Mazda B3000 that I had was manual and I loved that thing.
