Recently purchased an Engo 10k synthetic winch. I wanted to have a battery disconnect switch as well for safety purposes. I'm fine with a switch under the hood. Anyone have suggestions or examples of their setups?

Per the specs max amperage is 370.

I was looking at the Blue Sea Systems HD Switch. Its rated to 600A continuous. But is this overkill? Most other switches seem to have high intermittent amp ratings but lower continuous amp ratings and I dont want to risk melting the unit. For instance the Fastronix Solutions 2 post switch is rated at 180A Continuous or 1000A Intermittent and i've seen a number of people use them for their winches of all sizes.

I DIY everything but electrics are my weak spot, so any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

I found one on Jegs that I really liked. Can't find it now as I search their website of course. It is rated at 300amp continuous, and up too 1000 amp spikes.

When I get home this evening, I will see if I can find the part number.

    Too many, but not enough....
I have found with electrical over the years, that overkill in the camp of safety is NEVER a bad thing.

I went with a BlueSeas switch. Can’t remember the model number. Mounted next to my winch pack on a custom plate my friend made for me.
