So with those rear leafs you can jump the truck, baja style with a sherman tank in the bed?

 

Drained and filled the transmission fluid. I also ordered a new power steering pump and belt from Toyota. Pretty annoyed that my pump is whining so bad at only 50k. Tried all the tricks to fix it with no success.

 

Installed these quick release brackets and strap to hold my propane/fuel containers bedside. Purchased from etrailer.com. Install was pretty easy, worst part was removing the rear wheel liner clips. Ended up breaking three.

 

Quick weekend projects:

Red tow hooks activated and retro TRD emblem on.

Had to fab a backplate for the TRD emblem and still need to work on it. It isn’t as seamless as I want it to be yet.

 

Finally decided to install some off brand fender flares. Turned out pretty good.

 

Did you add PPF behind them?

That's the plan. We've got a Baja trip in Jan with a group but also just trying to keep up with the old mans rig.

 

No. Just mentioned it because the flares ate through my paint on my 2013.....took a little bit off of my selling price because of the needed paint repair.

 

Changed my front brake pads at ~42K miles.

 

While at T2S hit 20k miles...

 

Nice,. Those clips are a PIA so I just break em and replace them makes the job go faster while retaining my sanity.

How do you like those swing outs? Im thinking of getting some

 

I really like them. I got them used, so I had to replace a couple rubber bumpers on them. But they make some noise on the trails. Others have said that theirs makes no noise. I may have to adjust a few things to get that result. But they’re super handy. All my recovery gear is in them.

 

What brand are they?

 

Finally got around to putting on my OEM color matched mirror caps! Way better than chrome.

Also installed my magnetic phone mount. Super clean, easy install and holds well.

 

They’re the brand name Undercover Swingcases. I scraped off the labels.

 

I sanded and polished the oxidation and (most*) the scratches out of my headlight lenses.

I got one for free for my Tacoma. They reached out to me to do a review. I like it on my Tacoma. I’ve been hoping they reach out to me to a free tundra one….

 

Turtlewax headlight restoration kit. Its only 10 bucks at home depot. Worked good. It just polishing compound and sanding pads 4 differing grits but at that price you cant buy all of it cheaper. My passenger light was pretty bad with bush scratches and oxidation, it polished it out well

Our headlights are bad enough, i dont need hazy plastic making it worse lol

 

No I did not. When this truck looks like shit and is no longer drivable, I'll simply buy a new truck. The benefits of being financially secure and retired!!

 

Man do I need to do that to mine. They're driving me nuts.
