Really wish they would manufacture an integrated step like the GMC. Would help in loading my dirt bikes. The OEM Bed Step (which I have), is useless for loading my bikes

Why not just order it through your local dealer. Slightly cheaper. They just order it through a dealer and resell it. o_O

From my local dealer. Just took the part number and enter into Toyota Parts Center Online site and picked my closest dealer.

The OEM step for the 2022 Tundra is not like your step…it protrudes out from the side and back of the tailgate.

I need it in the middle of the tailgate so when I am loading my bikes I can walk up it. So are you saying it would stick out past the tailgate when the tailgate is open? That's the only thing that would help me.

Yea, unfortunately this setup doesn't do me any good when loading the bikes. The GMC tailgate is great, my buddy has one. I have to use this

Saw this on Amazon and thought it might be of interest to some. Can't vouch for it and there are no reviews thus far, but it looks very similar to the OEM step with exception to the mounting bracket. Reasonably priced at $175.

    https://www.amazon.com/Compatible-T...=1651584837&sprefix=2022+tundra,aps,80&sr=8-9

I've had an OEM step on order for awhile, intend to just wait it out. Would be interested to hear feedback if anyone bites on this one.

I was going to wait for someone to post about it but F it Im just buying it. Amazons return policy is great.

It seems a lot less robust than the OEM but its also half the price.

Looks like I'm doing the same. as long as it works, fits and only have to see it when I need it then it should be fine. Dealership quoted me about $480 for OEM and would be over a month wait.

Ended up getting a OEM bed step from Elmhurst Toyota for $342.00 and $32.00 shipping. Just wanted to throw it out there that they have them in-stock right now.

Dont buy it if you havent already. It doesnt work with the 22’ unfortunately. Just got mine and tried.

Edit: The step assembly appears to be exactly the same. Im going to buy the 22’ mounting bracket and see if it works. If it works it saves like $75-100

I read some where or maybe a You Tube (i think Tim at Pickup Trucks + SUV Talk) that these were made by Lund Automotive.

I have the OEM bed step and wish there was a way to keep it from deploying every time the tailgate was opened. Maybe let the button on the tail light deploy the bed step and just use the handle on the tailgate (or key fob) to open the tailgate.

I know...I was suggesting that the button on the taillight be used to deploy the bed step and the tailgate handle drop the tail gate, i.e., two separate actions. I don't need the bed step every time I open the tailgate.

If you leave it in the off spot, then the electric running boards don't come out.

Yep, that's the way it works but I don't want to have to turn off the running boards to keep the bed step from deploying. I use the running boards to get out of the truck to go open the tailgate.
