Hybrid QC Hold

I've been patiently waiting for a Hybrid. Build date was 4/29, but it's been sitting at the port in Houston since.

Dealer just texted me and let me know there's an "Open Campaign" which she described as a recall that has to be fixed before they hit lots. All of the Hybrids currently have them.

Just a heads up to anyone else currently ripping their hair out.

 

Nooooooo! Mine is set to be built Friday, and delivered the following week to my dealer. Was really hoping to pick it up by June 3rd.

 

This isn't a hybrids only, but there's a recall regarding a software glitch with the cameras not turning on all the time. There's a quickie software flash for it. If its that, your truck shouldn't be sitting long.

 

The dealer seemed to indicate that all the Hybrids have a hold on them. Hopefully you're right, and that's all it is... I'm hoping it's not something else.

I got a call from my dealer last week. I'm awaiting a TRD Pro in Canada and originally had an ETA in August that's now being pushed to November.

 

My Platinum arrived in Toronto on Monday April the 18th. Still sitting there at the rail yard. Not sure if it is the PVM issue or parts or both. Just out of courtesy one would think Toyota would inform me of why the delay and what the expected eta is. My dealer is kept in the dark as well.

 

Dealer just texted me. They have 7 hybrids in their allocation, and 4 of them have been cleared. Mine wasn't one of them.

Total Speculation: To me, the fact that 4 of 7 are cleared sounds like they have a bad batch of parts from a supplier.

 

Bummer man... I am hoping mine gets transfer tot the port this wee, set for the 27th... delivery on the 3rd.
