I ordered 2 covers from Talon's Garage for my 2014 Tundra and 3 days later they showed up at my house. I had my mechanic put them on since I was having my fluids changed and it was on a lift anyway. They charged me an hours labor. It looks fairly simple for a do-it-yourselfer though.
These were 1/4 inch aluminum. I didn't want steel because of corrosion and even with powder-coating a possibility for an extra cost, I felt aluminum was the way to go. 8 bolts, 2 brackets, 2 square spacers, 2 panels and you're good to go. Quality product. Can't change the transfer case oil though without taking 1 panel off so make sure you're happy with your fluid there.
I read the controversy between these and Valhalla and I'm not sure who may be right or wrong between those groups but I just wanted the forum to know of my experience with Talon.
I posted this because I am going to trade/sell my 2014 for a 2022 or 2023. I figured I would get my money back since theft seems wide spread and it should be a trading/selling point. The other reason was the amount of time it took to get replacement converters prompted me to go ahead so that when I get my 2023 my truck will still have its' converters.
    Just FYI.

Glad you had a good experience. I, for one, will never buy something from someone who worked for (contracted services) the original small business and very blatantly stole the design and started very quickly making it. Goes to the character of the person also. Nope.

There was a whole todo about it between the two businesses. I’m too lazy to find the original thread(s) but there was definitely some shady shit on the Talon side from the “facts” that were presented on the forum.

Fast delivery and everything came as advertised. I installed myself but it took considerably longer than an hour because I'm a doof. I could do it again tho in about an hour probably. I think the on-line instructions could be improved.

Gotcha, I'll try to look for it. I was thinking of purchasing his plates.

Glad it all worked out for you OP.

Both are good companies with prompt customer service. End thread
