My GP and I have worked out a pretty good mix of meds that keep my asthma and allergies [mostly] in check. One of those is ADVAIR. While not as incredibly expensive as your salve, it's still very pricey for something he expects me to take twice a day. (~$225/month)
I had a job change several years ago that eliminated my insurance for about 6 months. I couldn't afford that shit during that time so I reached out to my GP and explained that I couldn't afford it and requested a more affordable alternative. He said, "Absolutely not. I'll keep you in samples until your insurance gets sorted." And he did exactly that. Saved my ass for half a year. Certainly worth a phone call.

Don't forget you can cut the shank on whatever drill/bit you use. Just enough to bottom it out on your drill and maximize your tight squeezing ability.

 

@shifty` - that pic reminds me of my house in Japan. I lived in Aomori Prefecture were we dealt with a lot of snow. Everything was stainless, swaged, and impeccably labeled

 

@bmf4069 I won't be buying a new drill to make it happen, I've got a few diff't drills that could potentially work in this case if I'm thoughtful about settings.

@BubbaW "very tight & awkward", like my only access options to this double-header is basically:

• Inside a joist between two floors, but the joist has 10" or 12" insulated HVAC return duct running through it (I already cut out the ceiling between joists)
• There's a staircase with double 2x12 on the other side of the header that prevents me from getting easy access to the backside of the wall for an angle
• The only access from the back side is a 6" wide gap (the wall hollow) but I'd be reaching up blind into the hole to make a vertical cut, which I don't want
• Removing drywall from the other side of the header isn't ideal and again limits me to a vertical/perpendicular cut and I'm looking to angle for easier LV pulls

 

@Jack McCarthy - you created a bit of a dilemma for the dermatologist by scraping it off. Much easier to eval a “virgin” mole or nevus. Suspect pigmented lesions really need a punch biopsy or full thickness excision to properly eval. Melanomas are really bad actors and Clark’s level and depth are important prognostic indicators

 

Why do you need such a massive hole for low voltage ?

 

How could it be a mole if it was scraped off? Moles typically bleed and come back from my experience.

 

Full CAT6 and RG6 rewire, to the tune of about 30-40 cables total into a data+AV closet sitting under an awkwardly-shaped under-staircase closet in a basement.

Cable calculator tells me I could make that happen using smaller conduit like 2" without high difficulty, but for ease of later pulls and additions, future growth, while I'm in there, I might as well just do 2.5" IMO.

But either way, 1.5", 2", 2.5" there's still the lingering problem: I'd like to go at an angle, the space I'm working with is pretty damn tight (14-18" or less in any direction), the hole ideally should be round for better integrity and pulling, and it'd be easiest using a round bit that self-clears so hole saws are out.

 

Yeah I get it but maybe I don’t, if it’s not a convenient location for pulls, why put the patch panel there vs somewhere more accessible? You can run one high bandwidth network cable to that space for comms but usually patch panels are placed in a central location where it’s easy to get wire in / out. Kinda sounds like Thai cave rescue wiring to me.

 

A 32 port network switch needs very little power and takes up minimal space. I have a fanless one which doesn’t make a peep.

 

Also, RG6, what’s that for? Your vhs machine? Seriously.

 

Yeah, better to go with RG11. lol

 

Network infra already setup. Trust me, this is my industry. I'm well aware of what's needed.

Antenna feeds for OTA. May go RG59 instead, but I have a spool of RG6 so I was going to use it.

 

Remember to use an LNA to drive the cable if it’s over 50’. Maybe you already know, but I thought I’d mention it just in case.

I'd get it biopsied. Wife's cousin let one go for about 6 months on his leg. It was cancerous and spread through got body, lost his life to it after 18 months.

Better safe than sorry.

 

RG-6 has better specs for OTA uses, I hope you have a good old fashioned YAGI. I have one up 60 feet in the Foothills, it's pointed south, I can get ALL UHF DTV in SoCal! Outdoor mount!

You can drive RG-6 100ft with 5dB loss, RG-11 has 3dB/100ft loss. For a typical off air signal, you should have enough oompf to make a TV look good without an amp.. Especially if DTV is what you want. . It's either GO/NO GO! 1 "bars" gets you a perfect pic, 5 "Bars" exactly same quality pic, that's digital. Now Analog NTSC, VERY much RF level driven... but no one broadcasts analog TV anymore! So it's a moot point.
Since ATSC is broadcast in the 470–890Hhz UHF band, if you did need a amp, you would need a broad band amp.

 

Oh, you guys must be talking about electrical hoses.

I was pretty sure roentgenium didnt oxidize to a +6.

 

GO/NOGO doesn't work very well if your signal is hovering about the noise floor and it cuts in/out and pixelizes regularly. A UHF filter and LNA can do wonders.

I will admit using RG6 may not require one though. I typically run RG59.

 

Well???? Did you get the fleshlight back or not?!

 

Maybe I'm just too young but I guess I'm unaware of how serious a small bump or mark could be. Guess it's just not something I've ever given much thought. It'll make me keep an eye out better in the coming years. How do you know which kind of stuff to take seriously.

Pretty much… anything like the weird mark our friend above wants a 2nd opinion about , you get checked out as soon as you can. Basically, anything that develops that wasn’t there before, that you can’t recall being caused by a specific injury or event (new shoes, new activity with different repetitive movement); anything that sloughs off or can be picked off, and comes back; anything with irregular edges; anything in a very dark colour that doesn’t match any other marks that have always been on your body…. Those are most of the Big Telltales. Basically, if it’s Abby-Normal, it might be a monster.

Just joining back in and I'm pages behind. I've replaced the fitting twice and it still leaking so my hope is to be able to seal it from above around the perimeter of the fitting somehow. It.'s a PVC fitting
