Luckily I had this on my key when I lost it. It was returned in the mail yesterday. Membership does have it's privileges.

So after 44500 miles, and 33 months the OEM batter finally gave up the ghost yesterday. I didn't think that was too bad considering central Texas and the heat we endure during the summer. $300 later, I now have a bit bigger battery!!

And yes, I am not real happy with those terminals, just haven't found anything I like better yet.

I completed the anytime fog lights mod this afternoon and am excited.

I upgraded to the Diode Dynamics Pro fogs a while back and have been wanting to have them on with my brights and the NSV hood bulge light bar.

I drive to work in the dark in west texas and really don't want to hit a deer...

I'm in Dallas and had to park full sun most days. Exact same tint as you and it made a very noticeable difference. No more leather burns or steering wheel burns. I actually could nap in the truck if I lowered the windows some.

Today I installed Clazzio perforated black leather covers. My Tundra stock interior is the Graphite gray but the black leather turned out great.

Back in late September of last year I put on some 17” Icon 6-Speeds (+25 offset) and 295/70/17 KO2s. At the time I also added Falcon shocks and Coachbuilder shackles. The ride was AWESOME. So much better than stock.

After a few months it started feeling like the tires were out of balance. I went to DT and it went downhill from there. They had the hardest time getting the tires balanced. Over the course of several trips they told me that I had a warped wheel, then 3 warped wheels, then they were all fine. Then one was warped and then it wasn’t. They struggled with getting them balanced, but then they get it right and everything would be fine – for a while. Finally I went back to the shop that did my lift. He had no problems at all. I drove off and it was great again. Until it wasn’t.

I went back to DT and we looked at the tires, we checked to make sure I had the right lug nuts and that they were torqued correctly. We talked about whether or not the issue was related to the fact that the wheels were lug centric. We called Icon twice. They first said that all wheels are lug centric. Then the next rep there said that the cone made them hub centric.

Finally I was able to talk them into finding one of the old school finger plates to balance instead of the cone. When they did that the found the slightest imperfection in the center of the wheel plate – the center bore. So they agreed to replace the wheels at no charge. I wanted to go to a Method wheel but they are on national backorder. DT wanted me to stay away from Icon because they said they have a better relationship with Method and Fuel. Finally settled on a Fuel Vector 17x8.5 w/ a 110.1 bore. At first I was a little worried about going from a +25 offset to a +7 offset. I was worried that they might rub and/or poke out more than I prefer.

But, all seems to be good now. I think it looks great. The ride has been really smooth again – hopefully it stays that way. I did have to remove the mudflaps and put the heat gun on the wheel well liners. But all good now. So far I think its fixed. In the end DT came thru with a new set of rims even after buying them 7 months ago and I got my ride back!

Dealership alerted me a few weeks ago that I was getting some cupping of my front tires and I was due for a tire rotation. Before I went with the tire rotation I wanted to research the tire cupping problem.
Took it to firestone today (lifetime alignment) and had them check it. Sure enough it needed a tweak. Then firestone say 'I'll rotate those tires for ya for $10" started to say no cause DT will do it for free and that was my next step anyway. Also had a question about the wheel weight placement on the rear fitting over the front calipers (I'm on 17s) it would only be right to have DT fix it.
Dude at firestone talked me into it for 10 bucks. I gave him a heads up about the weights he said they would get it done.
So I go to pick up my truck: alignment is fixed, tires are rotated and now road forced balanced. I'm thinking this just got a lot more expensive. Nope 10.99 out the door. Color me impressed Firestone.
