I’d get that checked. Or see if you can send in a pic, then the doc can weigh in after viewing it. That started being a “thing” during early months of the pandemic (insurance must like telecare), and I think it’s still an option— better than ignoring it, anyway.

My wife makes me visit a dermo annually. Usually she documents all the dots on me and measures them. One time we showed up and it turned out her reception forgot to book us for an appointment, my wife insisted they must see us and the dermo was trying to go home.

She conveniently found a spot on my shin that she had to cut off for biopsy, I still have a dent where it was. I got out and it was my wifes turn, she found a spot on my wifes head that she had to remove for biopsy.

On the drive home I told her, when the doctor wants to leave, we should just reschedule. She did that to burn (pun intended) us both.

So no stitches? My guy told me when they do a biopsy, they use a couple stitches to prevent that from happening supposedly.

Actually looks like a I spot I had on my cheek a few years back. Would start out as what seemed like dry skin. If I accidentally knocked it off, it'd bleed a little bit, heal, then a few months later, another little spot of what seemed like dry skin. Eventually got to the point where it would scab, and after a few weeks of the scab growing I broke down and went in. Turned out to be precancerous growth. Looked like dry skin to me, then an ordinary scab. After the 3rd reappearance I was suspicious, but when it started scabbing, I booked it.

Do what you need to do, 2nd opinion, whatever. What I'd tell you is, if you didn't do anything to create this specific injury, and there's no clear way it would be there, and it's not healing in a normal period of time (7-10 days) that's suspicious as hell and should be taken as a red flag. A lot of us here on the forum are outdoors types. Skin cancer can happen to anyone, but seems to be more prevalent if you get outdoors pretty frequent. Don't forget, your skin is the largest organ of your body, there's a lot of cells in that two dozen-ish yards square feet of organ to get cancerous.

I've had basal cell cut out of my back twice. Looked like that on top and a walnut size tumor came out both times.

What's strange is that originally, it was 1/2 the size of the outline and just a freckle when it showed up a few years back. I'm guessing the scab is where my toe rubs against the side of my sneaker and either bleeds or creates a callus like you see there. It's only because the freckle was bigger that I'm going to get a 2nd opinion to be sure.

This is even funnier when I look at the toe on my 32" monitor knowing if someone's at work, they'll see my toe taking up 2/3rds of their screen and people walking by will wonder what the hell? :D

Yeah, that sounds pretty suspect to me. Mostly because, on my body at least, one spot rubbing doesn't start as a freckle, and my freckles aren't normally raised enough to chafe from rubbing. With rubbing, my skin normally goes dry, gets rough, then callouses without any coloration.

But I'm not a doctor, and everyone's body is different. Just be honest with the 2nd dermo when you go in, give as many details as you can. And don't put it off 'til next month, 'til fall, whatever. We're all getting old, and this is how the big C manages to get large enough it can start sending little bits into your bloodstream to replicate elsewhere.

I searched "camels toe in panties" and just got a bunch of crotch shots. That may be one of those impossible to find pics.

Nope. She didn't even explain what she was up to. She said something like "there is a spot here I need to investigate, does this sting?"

    Nope...

Then I smelled something bad and she was putting a piece of my skin in a tube. Her assistant put a band aid on my shin and I realized she used some sort of cauterizing thing to slice a freckle off my shin.

Shes really hot though so I didn't complain. I tease her saying she just wanted a little piece of me.

Yeah, I give up. I actually looked for one too and got lots of real camel feet, tons of mooseknuckle shots, camel's feet with a rope tether, but no pics of an actual camel's foot w/underwear on it. I guess places with camels just don't have the same juvenile sense of humor we do.

I haven't had too many dealings with the Dermatologist yet since I'm young, but I'm sure it's going to happen more and more as I age. I'm super pale/ freckly and will likely end up with skin cancers at some point, I should own stock in Neutrogena. No biopsies yet, but the Dermatologist's opinion on some of my skin stuff and a proper diagnosis soothed my mind and I'm glad I went a few years back.

What sucks is the Rx prices. Doc prescribed me this foam for my Psoriasis and it's been the only thing that has a lasting effect (yes, I've tried everything). When he provided the script, he told us of this pharmacy that will sell it for $50 (retails for $1200) with a rebate card. He made it sound like those are always available so I didn't buy all my refills at once. Guess what? I've tried multiple times and I can't get it for under a grand now. Doc's probably getting fat kickbacks while I wait years for a generic that's affordable. At least this is a condition I can live with untreated.

    Some tool advice needed.

I have a suite of tools to make larger holes in things. My Greenlee knockout punch set for sheet metal, a gaggle of auger bits for wood, bi-metal and wood hole saws for about anything else, probably lots of other stuff.

I need to make a 2" - 2.5" (roughly) diagonal hole through a 2x6 double-header in a VERY tight and awkward space. Hole saw not great because double-header. Auger not great because tight spot. @bmf4069 and any others who run cable or pipe through walls, should I add into my tool collection with a self-feed bit like this guy, is it the right tool for the job? If "yes", any reco on brand?

(This Irwin is slightly larger than needed, perfect for 2.5" smurf/other LV flex conduit going in the hole, and only ~$30)

Did you try the drug manufacturer’s website? A lot of times they’ll offer rebates that last throughout the year. I buy a couple drugs that go for over a grand on a 90 day refill. I use it to pay off my yearly deductible. When the generic does get offered a lot of times it’s just as pricey as brand name for at least a few years.

Yeah, the card rebate thingy was through the manufacturer's website. I check periodically and haven't seen it since. Occasionally GoodRx and one other app show okay prices, but nothing that's worth jumping on really.
