Love this idea, and I wish that truck was closer to me. I am in Washington state, so that would be a looooong drive home. Hopefully someone can post something about a Limited or Platinum CrewMax closer to me

 

I’m in WA state too. I just got a message from the dealer this morning and no platinums this allocation once again.

 

Im in Washington state as well. Toyota of Tacoma has 5-6 on the lot with huge markups, but haven’t seen much else in stock

 

I don’t even entertain the idea of paying over msrp

 

Check to see if shipping it is cost effective. After buying a plane ticket, gas, lodging it's probably cheaper to ship

 

In my experience, any dealer within 25 miles of a large military installation will have crazy mark ups. Capitalizing on dumb privates and deployment cash.

Not all of them, though yeah, 99% of the time you're correct. Seeger Toyota in St. Robert doesn't have much on the lot, but whatever they sell, they sell at MSRP. I know because we just literally bought a 2022 4Runner TRD Sport last Friday @ MSRP.

 

Yeah…for all you WA state guys my buddy also bought at Toyota of Olympia as @Buellride posted with no markup at the time…I bought from Rodland in Everett (even and straight) but not sure of their current inventory and allocation.

Bellevue seems to get inventory but they had markups months ago (I can’t attest for now or if their allocations at all spoken for)

Of course your preferred build, loyalty to a particular dealer, money deposited, etc may also be case by case factors so hope you all find what you are looking for.

 

Thanks BigJuice....the best way to engage the internet sales folks. At Toyota of Olympia, the woman I talked with ran through all allocations and vehicles that were not spoken for...that is how I found my SR5, I knew what I wanted they had it coming in over the next 3 weeks and I placed the deposit. All over the phone

 

Many dealers such as Toyota of Olympia won't sell to you if you are from out of state which is pretty odd. I'm in Oregon and I have talked to other dealers in other states that don't do this but some do. Weird times indeed..

The dealer I purchased from in Tn stated they won't sell to out of state either. They say to accommodate those from out of state would be at the expense of local buyers, since the demand is so high; I can understand and appreciate this idea. This dealer is also selling at MSRP, so pretty fair all the way around.

 

What dealer did you buy at? Cumberland wants 2k over.

 

Fox Toyota. Back in November when I was shopping, they were the only dealer that was offering MSRP and still are. If you are going to visit there, I dealt with Karl and he was phenomenal throughout the entire process, which was months long.

 

Just drove by Parkside Kia in Knoxville. They have a 22 limited with 6k miles on the clock with a very reasonable price of $71,900

 

I can't tell if that's sarcasm or not. That's more than I paid for my platinum with ad ons after tax! I'd assume if it's already been traded at 6000 miles, it's full of problems.

 

Beaman Toyota in Nashville is at MSRP and no add ons. I lucked out with them. 4 weeks after I contacted them with what I wanted they gave me a call since someone backed out on their allocation.

 

About $14k worth of sarcasm. I've looked at tons of ltd's online and 57-58 is what most msrp at.

I'd imagine it had waste gate issues and they dropped it for a used domestic of sorts the dealership had. Surely can't imagine trading a tundra for a kia

I bought my Limited from there. I got a decent deal (smallest markup Ive seen thats not msrp) but I probably wouldn’t recommend them since most of the MSRP dealers seem to be in the western PA area.
