I realized after this past weekend that I think I need to go electric with my push mower.
I have no problem putting in the work, after work (8pm and beyond) but it is simply too rude to my neighbors to start cutting the grass at 845 at night.

If I start at 7am, that only gives me 20 minutes of cutting before I need to report to work at 8.

I figured if I went electric I could cut at my leisure (after getting kids to bed and such) then maybe finishing at 10/1030p wouldn’t be so bad.

This would then leave me with about 30 minutes of edging and trimming on Saturday morning.

The added weekend time would be nice.

Any thoughts cru? I have been eyeing the 40v push Ryobi as I have almost every one of the 18v tools.

Back in 2016 I bought a Greenworks 40v Lawnmower. It was pretty cool and I also bought the matching weed whacker. It really depends on how big your lawn is although I'm positive the tech is a lot better and the batteries longer lasting by now. In the end, I sold them both to my neighbor and hired a guy to mow and weed whack. It just gets too damn hot here. But yeah, they sound like you are vacuuming your lawn so I don't see your neighbors having an issue with it.

How much yard you looking at and how close are you to your neighbors? I'm assuming about 1/4 acre of grass and neighbors are about 50' to 100' max away?
If so, I'd say do it. Once my weedeatwr goes out, I'll prob go electric since I don't have a lot to trim. Most of my work is mowing. I have been starting mowing at about 7:30 on Wednesday or Thursday nights to help free up my weekend time, avoid sunburn, and alleviate some stress on the grass by not cutting in the heat of the day.
