I might take you up on that. Let me see how this works for now. Should have PM'd you before I spent day looking for metal Kidde mount and buying the steel for the mount!

I dipped the 5.7 badges and removed the tundra badges, sr5 badges, and the trd 4x4 stickers. Then I gave her a wash just to make sure there wasn't any plasti dip left. IMG_5251.jpgIMG_5250.jpg

    Flux capacitor!
Anytime you install new gears the initial first 500 miles its very important to go easy on the truck. Most gear manufacturers suggest to also change the first initial fluid after the first 500 mile break in period. Believe me I would love to drop the hammer and try out my new LSD but I don't want to f it up either. Lol

Got my recall done today too. They did a good job and everything works fine - they did a "recalibrate" too of course according to the paperwork. I am not sure how long, but I dropped her off at 10 and picked her up at 3:30. I also had them change the oil and rotate the tires while she was at the dealer - I did not wait for the service.

    5 hours. I didn't wait.

It's not the sensors. It's the corners of the bumper. There is a brace that was resin/plastic. Apparently if the bumpers got hit and deformed the resin braces would fail and you'd slip off the bumpers if you stood on it. Now there is a steel brace on each corner.

I like the outcome of everything, the trim pieces are real metal and fit in well with the interior, I had already scratched the door sills so the protectors covered that perfectly, and I think the stock tail lights are boring but I didn't want to get aftermarket ones so I went this route, they match the black and white scheme going on, and The best thing about this is that everything is complete reversible if I ever get tired of it.

Better than brand new. Just finished putting a ceramic coating from TerraShield. Looks like Glass and feels like Silk. Just hope it last for over a year or so as they claim. Time will tell, for now I'm very happy with results

Is this specifically for use on automotive paints? What advantage does this have over automotive waxes and sealants?

Well yesterday my best bud @darkknight2014 came by the house and after me washing and cleaning my truck he took his valuable time and polished my entire truck. Most of the little blemishes and scratches are now gone. He did an EXCELLENT JOB. He used several of the Chemical Guys products and it gave my truck a better than expected look.

He is the best and this my friends is why I choose to keep him around. LOL

"Love you buddy..." and I couldn't have been any more greatful. At the end of the day we had a great time, some brewskies, food, and of course cigars to finish up our evening..1c1543835cf7db1c125f153b23764348_65f1972333a4a582f7128513e51192591ab7581e.jpg

Has a layer of protection from damaging the paint from scratching, UV, dust and dirt. They say the coating last well over a year so having to recoat is time and money saver. After installing the coat, I did notice that the applicator was stiff and hard when I was done so I know that it's doing its job. I got the 50 ml kit and has half the bottle left so I could get one more coat for the next use. The feel after I was done was like a wet glass look and the feel was smooth and slippery. Will see how long it last. I wanted to try this as waxing every other month is a pain in my butt and based on other reviews I'll give it a try and this site also helped me decide on other things I might not have thought of doing, on the bad side I keep spending cuz there's so many good advise on products that others here have recommended.... haha

I should have asked you what dealer you went to. Took mine in Wednesday. They broke one of the sensors so I had to leave it over night. Picked it up after work yesterday, got home and found the parking assist doesn't work. Have to take it back next week and to top it off they chipped the paint above the rear bumper. :(

Thanks for posting this. Reviews look awesome and it just so happens I've been looking into these coatings.

How easy was it to apply? Any tips?

Get the kit as it has everything you need, maybe get more micro fiber clothes. Make sure you wash your truck good and give it a good wipe down before applying the liquid ceramic coating. Work only as much as you can in a minute time frame as you will need to polish it in. Make sure to not have drip lines as it will be harder to rub compound in plus your just wasting as you only get 50ml which seams a little but I did it with only half the bottle. The mini cloth you put over the applicator needs to be changed half way through as it get solid/stiff and hard to spread later so safe to say you'll use 2 mini cloths for your truck. Hope that helps
