Howdy from the FNG in CA. I love my Tundra and use her in places where I probably shouldn't. She's a champ! I use her for hunting and overlanding mostly and hoping to run into some more Tundras out on the trails. I'm always surrounded by Jeeps!

    5.7 Engine
Red Steel Bumper, 12k winch on a synthetic line.
    Ironman Foam Cell Pros/UCAs
37x17s on RRWs and KO2s. (I had the Ridge Grapplers and I LOVED them but my complaint is that they wear faster than I hoped for).
    Front light bar
    Dual ditch lights
    Bumper light pods
    And color change rock lights
    MESO interior lights
    JBL sound system
5.29 gears with front and rear E-lockers
Color matched shell with a 270° awning and a rooftop tent.
Aux pod to control all the accessories.

Looking forward to being part of the group. Happy 4x4ing, y'all!20220428_150108.jpg 20220428_150024.jpg

    Welcome from TX!

Sweet rig with some nice mods! I just did the gear swap on mine and I've got 35s still. Did you go from 35s to 37s? If so, was it a noticeable power loss?

Thanks man! Your rig is super clean and very tastefully molded! I actually went from 33s to 37s but I had the 4.30s with the 33s. I noticed a very slight loss with the swap but other than aftermarket exhaust, my engine is all stock. I'm sure a tune and an intake will make a noticeable difference. Evenstill, 5.29s and 37s are still a very snappy combo. I also run very heavy and I presently have my bed overloaded with several hundreds of pounds of gear. Once I remove all of that, I'm sure it'll help some.

Welcome from the opposite coast in CT! I dream of having a truck capable of camping / over landing one day. You can probably see my jealousy even from 3000 miles away :D. Love the truck

Thank you for the compliment, bud. She's always a work in progress

I swapped 37s on once before the gear swap and the loss was intolerant. So was the braking power. I'll have to address that next (before I make the jump again). I too carry a bit of weight in gear. I've looked at the charts for ideal gear ratio for tire size and yes it tends to agree that the 5.29s are ideal for 37" tires

Thanks, man! I started getting out and after when my truck was stock. The Tundra is a super capable platform, brotha. It's nice to have the upgrades for several reasons (that's why we spend the hard earned money on'em, right), but don't let that stop you from getting out there and enjoying God's country. If this man can do it in a Prius, you're leaps and bounds ahead! Screenshot_20220402-153721_YouTube.jpg

Agreed but with one caveat. I suppose it depends on the primary usage of your rig, right? Up until gas hit $6 a gallon, she was my daily. I had to buy a little Honda just to maintain. I was considering going with 4.88s just to hold reasonable gas mileage. With the 33s and 4.30s I could milk 14mpg on average. Now, I'm sad to say I'm getting about 11. But, what I'm happy about is having a super capable rig where it matters most (to me), which is out in the wilderness. I'll have to give you a holler if I'm ever out in your neck of the woods. My family in Sping keeps trying to get me to relocate from CA and I have been looking for work in the Conroe, area. It'd be great to get on the trails out that way someday!

Mine is a DD but I have a short commute so I'm good with 11-11.5 mpgs

Yeah man I've got a couple friends from CA down here. More are definitely coming. The cool thing is many of them are leaving their politics behind lol.

Conroe is blowing up! You'll find something for sure. Definitely HMU if you come down.

Man, I from an era where CA was once the beat place to live. Coming home from being overseas for the better part of 10yrs was a huge culture shock for me. I never wanted to leave but now, I don't feel like it's hone anymore. Great wheeling out here though! That keeps me happy.
Will do! I'll give a holler once I touch down.

I'm sorry to read you're feeling displaced. Everyone deserves to feel home. TX embraced me when I was only 3 coming over from Brazil. It has a big enough heart for you too (as your fam can attest to).
