5am flight to Seattle only to have my 8am to Chicago delayed for 1-1/2 hours.

Airlines seem to be a hot mess right now. They were overbooked on the 5am and offering $1500 to bump to a later flight, but didn’t have any flights available that would still get me here for my connector.

While, normally, they have a flight leaving every 45 minutes between PDX and SEA. Not sure what the hell is up.

flying without a mask again is nice though

Damn, my backyard neighbor's (we have an alley between us) wife just texted me. Her husband died yesterday morning. She found him by his bed. He and I were the two that were spearheading the noise ordinance change (which worked) because the "bar" was right across the street from his home. He was in bad health - I talked to him last week on the phone and he really had a rattle in his lungs. Told him he didn't sound good. Dammit. I really liked him. He was a good guy and a hell of a story teller.
