Front tow hooks from AFE?...

Definitely didn't expect to first run across commercially available tow hooks from a company I usually associate with air filters! Thoughts?

Big question is how well do they play with the active spoiler and the rest of the grille. They look great and AFE's quality is great on air filter, hopefully that trickles down to these as well.

 

Good points. My truck doesn't have the active spoiler but looking at the pics it looks like they are still tucked up pretty high. Looks like the plastic bumper cover might still be in the way of a recover rope or strap under tension. I'm also hoping the pics are of a pre-production prototype because it looks like they skimped on welds only welding one side of the round stock to the bracket... Easy fix if that's the case but you'd have to ruin the coating to finish welding the thing out.

 

Active spoiler is always up unless you are driving at high speeds so shouldn't be an issue.

 

I ordered a set. For $145 it's worth a try.

 

FWIW, AFe now owns Sway-a-way amongst a couple other brands. Seems they're trying to get away from just being the air filter guys.
