@Tundra2 you want a mud terrain, at, or hybrid?

Can’t go wrong with the cooper st Maxx’s. I’m liking the general grabber x3’s so far (got about 8k on them). Not a huge fan of the falkens my wife has on her sequoia.

keep in mind if you look at the coopers, cooper owns Mickey Thompson and dick cepek . So I’d price out all 3 brands.

the maxxis razor at’s and mt’s we’re on my short list shopping around also

Yup, I had to do it with a riding mower tire. A little smaller fwoop, but still there.

That's what I got. @Tundra2 if you want biggest w/o rub, it looks like a 255/75/17 would be a 33x10.5x17, which is close to the 255x85xr16 I have. It rubs a tiny bit on the inner fender on 75% left turns.

Did the brakes on my daughter's 08 accord yesterday. I'd say they needed it. Only a tiny bit of mangling involved.

Somebody broke the rotor screws, so I had to drill them out.

    KIMG0227.jpg

    KIMG0228.jpg

    KIMG0232.jpg

They threaded right out after that. I don't know how someone managed to break them. I just pulled a good one off the drivers side and put it on the passenger side.

If you hear grinding while braking, this is why.

    KIMG0229.jpg

    KIMG0231.jpg

    KIMG0230.jpg

The sqealer was broken off on both sides. Not sure if before or because of the overused pads. They look a little thin....

    KIMG0233.jpg

I also changed the oil, and was gonna change the air filter, but my drunk ass ordered the wrong one. I also got new rear disks and shoes not realizing honda still used drums in 2008. I also lost my spark plug socket so I couldn't change the plugs. Typical day in the bmf life.

Uhm, typical fashion with 20 supervisors and two drivers. I wasn't worried about being stuck, just wanted out before the peanut gallery came over! It was a very easy pull, there's some videos out there, but it wouldn't have been a fun self recovery without a winch. I wanted to see Chris' winch in action, but a second gen tugged me out the way I went in. I'll work on posting pictures sometime soon, but I'm on vacation damnit!

I think Dilly's in the lead for the SoS now, on their go fast run yesterday, he blew a tire and broke a rear shock. The Ridgelines were out doing our own thing so we missed it.

Found me a tailgate to auction off. Starting bid is 50 bucks.

I'm going forward with my stupid idea from a while back. I really want a Diamondback cover with a Front Runner rack. I really don't want to pay for it. The setup itself on a Diamondback is kinda dumb, because that front hatch becomes stationary. This will make more sense with pictures, but I'm getting ready to cut my SnugLid. Hinges and water shed are the big concerns right now, and aesthetics. I have a base plan...I call it "A"

Did you cut anything yet?! Don’t do it. I feel strongly that we need more pics, planning, and beers. Maybe a Friday poll. No rushing in. Once you cut, it may leak and you can’t go back. There’s no workable plan B if we’re talking about a flat surface, if A leaks after it gets cut.

Let’s think about this a little more.

Haha. I haven't had a beer in weeks. If this doesn't work, but it will, I can always buy a cover. I say it's stupid because I like to lower expectations.

There is another possible option that is way more fool proof and a little less functional. I do need that top locked down if It's going to bear any weight. I might be able to trim the rear of the lid enough to allow the tailgate to open. The bed would really want a slide out at that point, but if It can be done to satisfaction, ease of access would be the only real issue.

I'm by myself and safe, I just got it out. I should be able to take the inner stub off and stick it in the diff tube to limp home. Luckily I don't have to be back in town for a few days.

Alright. I know you carry what you’d need, edit: if you get stuck somewhere. If you get in a bind, give a shout.

And maybe avoid the mud, eh-?! :boink:

Appreciate it. Truck buddies always take care of each other when possible no matter the distance. The funny thing is I almost packed my spare CV...

Anyways, looks like I'm set to roll. I'm filthy and smell like gear oil, so I'm going to run to Flag and clean up before settling in for the night.
