    So I have read a number of folks are using the Dongar with their Tundra even though it says for Tacomas.
    Does the back of your mirror look like this and do you just pop that tab off covering the wire?

    My 2020 doesn’t look like that. I just had a cable going into the mirror. I simply unplugged it and stuck the dongar in line. You may want to disconnect yours to verify the plug looks like this before buying.

    While the mirror is different, my mirror mount looks exactly like that. And, yes, the cap just pops off (pull straight down), fully exposing the wire. I hang my radar detector from that arm, so stored the cap away for some later time.

    Really like mine on my 2020 tundra. Made the camera install super easy. Next summer when I hook up my rear I might just hardwire both cameras and set up to work on motion.

    Yup that little cover just pops off with a little force. Used a interior trim tool and it popped right off.
    Unplugged the harness and popped the Dongar in and the DashCam is rolling!!

    I bought directly from your link and the adapter doesn’t work on my mirror. My connectors are 14-pin, not 12. Yes, I should have checked first! I have a 2016 CrewMax with SR5 upgrade, not sure why mine is different from so many others I’ve seen on here, but if anyone can point me in the right direction I’d very much appreciate it, the Dongar website and Amazon are sold out.

    Check the other end of that cable it will match up. I thought the same thing when I got mine. I will try to get a picture of what I am talking about tomorrow.
