Im only at 2 in level but once i added my 325s my truck became a wanderer so i will be doing ucas to get some caster back. Want to stay with a ball joint for simplicty reasons. Looking at jba amd bilstein. Spc is a third place choice right now. Havent seen any reviews on bilstein b8 uca , are they any good??

Camburg makes a great set of UCAs as well.

I've got 20k on my jba arms, mostly off road absolutely flawless still, quiet.

Nothing should come loose unless if you didn’t torque your suspension component to spec.

If i get spc , how do you install them in close enough in alignment so you can drive to the shop to have it aligned ? Is there like some kind of base setting? I guess im a bit spooked by all the adjustment . I plan on installing myself then having aligned

I had these on my ‘12 4Runner. They were awesome. Fixed my alignment issues and kept the truck from doing the 55-65mph highway shudder that 4Runners are notorious for. I probably only put like 30-40k on them, but I kept them greased up, and they were good as new when I traded the 4Runner in on my Tundra. I’d probably go JBA again if I redid UCAs on my truck.

SPC gives a general setting that will work on most applications for the ball joint position. Then you are able to easily adjust camber by sliding the ball joint and tightening to spec. It isn’t bad and will get you close enough to drive to get an alignment.

My biggest issue is my nearest shop that can handle spc adjustables is 30 miles down i80 at 75mph lol would the general settings be good enough?

Yes you will be good. Take measurements before you start wrenching and set the camber. The toe should stay pretty close and the caster may change the steering feel but will overall leave the vehicle drivable. Just take it easy on the road until you know how it will handle. I drove my Tacoma for 2 days before I was able to get an alignment and for over a week after I changed the SPC ball joint and bushings. There are also some good writeups to do a home alignment that would get you really close. No matter which brand you choose at the end of the day you have to make the same drive. The SPCs offer the most DIY friendly adjustments

Well now im second guessing if i even need them.
Im only 2in lift on 35.5 tires. When i got the tires on the truck felt squirley as hell and seem to have the wanders . After driving it a couple days now though it seems to have gone away. Im confused..... maybe it was the new tire oil residue making it feel that way ???

Also just ordered a new suspension from dobinsons, but keeping it at 2inches.

I’d say still think about aftermarket UCA, but maybe an alignment can tell you if anything might even be off?

You could do alignment without lifting the rear? Or you just planning to wait since it’s manageable?

Planning on waiting. Since its spring im driving my other truck on nice days and im doing new struts and adding a winch and bumper it will definitley need one that will change the alignment. The new struts have a different spring rate to account for the weight in the front.

    My other ride :burnrubber:
