Can you fly fish yet or are your rivers up there still doing the Spring thaw mini iceberg thing?

 

I’ve heard some rivers and lakes in the southern part of the province are fishable. Middle of May is usually when I start getting on the water up north here.

 

I nearly got hepatitis though. My dentist is awesome but his helper kinda sucks. She's older and I think she's going through some memory issues. She did my blood pressure, then rolled the machine to the side and did my x-rays. Then she starts looking for the sunglasses you have to wear. She's looking all over and then she starts going through the trash. I'm watching her, thinking "Holy shit! If she doesn't change her gloves, I'm gonna get mono or some shit and then Mrs. Bandito is gonna think I was out kissing the neighbors..."

She kept looking for them, digging through some nasty shit, and then she changed her gloves... But I think she only did it because I was really keeping an eye on her. Then, she looks at the 111/77 BP machine and says "Is that yours?" If it would've been connected when she was hazardous waste diving, it would've been a lot higher. Plus, I'm not gonna wear some diseased sunglasses... I'm a Vet, I know what kinda shit vets get into. End up with nose herpes... Another tough one to explain to Mrs. Bandito.

I just finished day 4 without candy. I did end up having to drink a NOS on the way home from Austin. I had a level 15 migraine (out of 10) and needed some quick caffeine so I could make it home. I also ate one of those Richard Irving baked protein bars because that's all the gas station had. It had some sugar in it but at least it wasn't made by Hershey (that I'm aware of).

 

Good on you with the candy. Sucks about the migraines. Wife gets them and it’s very rough.

I've been exercising for a while and my upper body has put on muscle, my legs have put on a lot of muscle, and then there's my little muffin top. I've got to cut the crap in my "diet" and candy is the biggest culprit. I'm 50 in November and I want to be in the best shape I've ever been in. I'm getting there. The girl at GNC said "Damn! You look good for 50!" to me the other day. I think she works on commission though...
