    Hi Proud Tundra Owners,

I have 2020 Tundra SR5 with TSS. I have below questions if you can help answer it -

    1. While reversing brakes makes squeaky noise (whenever I drive after 2-3 days of Truck haven't driven)
    2. My Truck lease ends in Sept, should I upgrade to newer 2022 model ? or stick with v8. My appraisal value good.

    Thanks in Advance.

The 2022 has too many issues.

My brakes squeak every morning as I back out of the driveway. I don't love it, but it only takes a few seconds and they are good to go. I figure it's my alert to the neighbors that I am leaving. :D

I can't really advise you on the decision to buy a 22. Just depends if it's what you want and are willing to pay for. I'll move up to the new Tundra eventually, but plan on keeping my 21 for several years first.

I don't like it too. The dealership said its normal for Tundra and wanted to cross check here and my brakes sound way more the whole neighborhood comes to know.

the new Tundra has all the bells and whistles but I need some advice. Go with proven engine and reliability or upgrade.

A little rust on the rotors. Normal on nearly every car/truck.

I suggest you keep your truck.

Hey, welcome to the circus. If you click on the 3rd Gen forum you will see a forum that looks more like a GM forum than a Toyota forum. The QC to date has been very bad relative to Toyota's normal standards.

Plus its overpriced and ugly as sin. But thats my .02

I would advise against it and just drop a Supercharger and new head unit in your current rig.

Could be rust build up on the rotors causing the squeaking. Mine does it too here and there.

My least is up in October. I plan on leasing a '22. Even if there's early problems, it'll be covered by the dealership.

With that said, I wouldn't consider buying a '22 yet though.

You also can't go wrong with buying out your current if the residual isn't too bad. Just depends on how much you like your current truck compared to how bad you want a new one.

Definitely do what @1UP said and check out the 3rd gen forums to familiarize yourself with the new ones.

That grill on the 22 is freakin ugly. Motor Trend described it as a jet plane missing the nose cone

Keep your truck, but if you have to scratch that itch, do not get the 22 Tundra.

In today's market, I think you'd be crazy not to buy out your lease. It's likely the best deal you will find for a Tundra, and you know exactly how it's been maintained.
