Got mine from Sparks. Had to trim the bottom of the pillar as there is some wire running in my truck and my pillar had cutouts for it.

I hate to be that guy who asks but will the Sparks kit (PKTUNGRABB0) fit a 21 Tundra TRD Pro? When I go to Sparks it says it won’t.

Does it say that because the part is technically only for the 2007-2013 Tundra?

It should fit just fine. Mine is 21 not a pro but the pillar doesn't change. You will have to trim to bottom a little bit but that's easy

Has anyone looked into adding the "other" driver's side grab handle (on the ceiling)? My 2010 has the A-pillar handles and 3 ceiling mounted handles, but nothing on the ceiling on drivers side. I am interested to string a net between the four ceiling mounts for camping gear (drying towels, etc).

I believe it was removed because the 2.5 generation Tundra scored less than the highest rating in the NHTSA offset frontal crash test. The handle was viewed as a potential danger to the driver's head in that test.

My opinion, buy it new from Sparks or another dealer. I don’t like used, I don’t trust especially when mounting next to an airbag. Plus, you have no idea what it’s been exposed to. I’m 220lbs, I use the thing every single time. I would hate for it to crack or have a used bolt come loose.

Interesting point. I suppose they addressed this in the 3rd gen since the handle returned.

It says it won’t fit because it did not come with it. All Toyota parts that did not come with your vehicle say they will not fit!

I bought the kit from Sparks with all the same apprehensions. I installed it in less than a half hour in my 2020.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread. My 17 that I put this on was recently totaled so I’m looking to do this again on the 19 I just bought. The kit I bought years ago was through Sparks, but it says the kit is backordered. Googling these part numbers, it looks like some sites have these in stock (separate, not as a kit.) Is this all I would need, just the pillar and the handle? It’s been a few years since I did the install.

Ask your insurance company who bought your total'd truck, and see if they'll sell you the part? Otherwise stalking LKQ is another route.

So there’s 5 or 6 2nd gens 07-13 on the lot with snow packed between them. So they wouldn’t get to them til snow melts in spring but they should have the grab handles no doubt

Ahh ok. I’ll keep searching around some parts departments and see what I can find.

I need an HVAC box and all the fixings... are these yards you-pick-it or just pay them to pull? I wouldn't mind a day trip to a Maine yard.

There are both. Kenny U pull you drive in and take off whatever you want. Others are inquire and they ship. The Wheel House in Plymouth is the one I mentioned above. I will update if they allow people to pull or ship only

The wheel house does not allow anyone to pull their own parts.

I was able to call around to some out of state dealers who didn’t have online parts stores and found what I needed. I appreciate you looking for me!

I'm curious as well. One of the first things I did to my old 4Runner was add the missing ceiling handle; underneath the headliner the body already had two threaded holes for it, I just had to punch the screws through.

I'm confused here. I also have a 2019 and missing the pillar handle. Why can't I just order a new handle instead of this kit that's almost $200?
