How to: Track your Tundra at the Factory

I’m in the exact same boat. My truck was built on the 13th and it went into F status but the eta is not populated, very annoying.

 

I mean heck does that mean it might not even be at the Port yet? I’d me mad if he lied and said it arrived at the port 3/31 but it’s still in Japan or in the ocean.

 

I have no idea but I do know 100% of 2022 Tundras are assembled in Texas so your truck will go on a rail car to the “port” and then on a truck to your dealer.

 

Looks like mine moved to "G" this afternoon. Hopefully get a call tomorrow and pick it up Thursday. Have a 14 hour round trip so have to plan ahead.

Knew it wouldn’t be long man. I just did all the financing/leasing stuff over the phone today. That way I won’t be at the dealer long on Thursday.

 

same here. Built 4/19 and waiting for eta. Dealer told me today that Toyota is having a tracking problem. Not sure how that’s possible but they’ve been good on info so far.

smart. I did the same thing. All in all, I was at the dealership about an hour & a half. Most of that was tracking down the salesman then him trying to figure out why he couldn’t set up my Toyota profile (someone had already set it up for themselves when they were messing with it).

makes it worlds easier to get everything out of the way before you walk in.

 

My dealership just sent me a photo of my truck. Now just have to wait 2 days to get it. Damn work.

Were you able to get most of the paperwork done digitally? I know that helped me out a lot.

So far, I've done:
- 295/70/18 Falken Wildpeaks
- '18 Battle Born Echo wheels
- '1.75 Rough Country leveling kit

Next up is predator steps (should get those today & install this weekend), ceramic tint & chrome deleting the front mustache & 2 side pieces. I've already got the two back black pieces for the bumper.

 

Yea we just did everything over the phone yesterday and will have it all ready for signature when I get there.

I definitely plan to upgrade my tires for sure. I bought that same leveling kit a few weeks back. Was it a pain to install? Said something about trimming bolts down. I also plan to order some running boards but haven’t decided which ones yet.

 

i actually just paid the shop that did installed my tires & wheels. They did the install, mount, balance & alignment for $200 in labor. Was just easier to get it all done like that, at least for me. I know most people who have done the install themselves haven’t had any issues though.

 

I love that color. Wish the Platnum would come like that.

 

I just put a second deposit down at another dealer for the same deal I got at the first one, but this dealer says he can get the truck by June instead of September.

 

Just found coverage for work. Picking up the truck tomorrow morning.

 

If you have a temp VIN, does the letter C mean anything different than the letter A in the temp VIN?

 

Got the call. Truck arrived in NH a few days past the ETA and now status is G. Hoping for the best!

I'm going from NYC to the middle of NH to pick up! I am not a local and not familiar with the non-tourist spots in NH

 

I originally put a $500 deposit on one in Clairmont, NH. They are selling for MSRP. But was able to find one here in Maine for the same price. Glad you are getting your truck soon.

When you pick up your truck please post more pictures. Your build is the first one I’ve seen that is the exact same as the truck I should be getting in three weeks. I’ve seen hundreds of tundras on here and FB and this is the first Army Green Limited TRD off road with the long bed I’ve seen.

The only difference is mine will have the black emblems and I’ve already ordered black door handles, tailgate handle and rear bumper “arms”. I hate chrome and it’s my first priority to get rid of it.

 

Will do man! I’m looking forward to getting it tomorrow. I’m gonna try and do the same abs get rid of the chrome. I do not like the handles or that chrome piece on door.

 

One dealers I have worked with here in southern NH is at MSRP as well. The second dealer was $3000 over. I worked with them to get the same deal as the first dealer because they can get the truck sooner.

 

Did the eta populate for you? I’ve been waiting for a week with the eta remaining blank.
