I gorged today on Sour Patch Kids Peaches, Reeses Peanut Butter Cups, Kit Kats, Godiva Neapolitan mini bars, Twizzlers, and the last of my York Peppermint Bunny. I think I can go without for a while now. Notice that I said "I think".

Yeah, I didn't really realize how much shit I ate today until I wrote it all down. Damn indeedy. I'm going cold turkey on candy tomorrow. I've got a really good workout plan going and I don't want to sabotage it with Kit Kats and Sour Patch Peaches.

Wife couldn't be here. She was re-admitted this afternoon when her leg swelled up. She's out now, but won't be travelling tonight.

That's been one of the hardest things for me watching the wife go through this, watching all the milestone dreams be taken from her; smooth delivery, hearing the first cry, holding her first, seeing her eyes open...

 

At the end of it all, she’ll get so many other memories to fill her up, she won’t feel shorted. You guys are cresting the hill - so glad to hear momma’s back out of the hospital and little Allison is getting some lap time.

 

I know - I literally was like "Holy shit!" when I was writing it. Every time I walked through the kitchen, I grabbed something sugary. I'm breaking that habit starting tomorrow.

Thanks for that... I actually quit eating anything after 8pm. It helps me sleep... kinda.

I've done pretty good cutting ice cream (the last time I had ice cream was when I made some homemade Blue Moon) and shit like that. It's just the damn candy bars and those snack sized one's don't have the calories marked on them. If I see the calorie label, I usually put it back down. No label and I grab a handful.

I need to work on healthy, flavorful snacks during the day. On workout days, especially, I'll get to the point in the afternoons where I'm just craving carbs. I'll get this shit figured out and when I get a six pack, I'll never wear a shirt again.

Was out doing some yard work today and spotted a dark critter out of the corner of my eye, been here 25 years and have never seen one on my property before, freaked me out a little till I realized what it was.
