Official 2022 Tundra 3rd Gen Thread

You're not gonna believe this but I STILL haven't seen a new Tundra on the road yet. I drive 1200+ miles a week ALL over Minnesota and much of the metro areas.

Who here has one that is in Minnesota?

 

Not me but I've seen a handful here in Carver Co

 

I’ve seen a bunch around me in Sacramento including my co workers every day lol

 

I’m in MN. Mine is supposed to be here next week. I’ve seen a number of them running around. East metro mostly.

 

3 of us have them at my office

 

I'm from SoCal and have only seen one in person so far lol

 

Has anyone been able to order a TRD PRO yet ? Paid a deposit in November at local dealer and still being told going to 2 to 3.months.

 

I finally saw one on the road today pulling out of my neighborhood onto a main street. He was in a black SR and I was in my black Sport. I saw him do a double take and stair as he drove by…I acknowledged the Tundra family by waving and he waved back very excitedly!

 

I **think** I have one coming? Convo with my dealer yesterday indicating they received an allocation for a Pro yesterday and it is mine. We’ll see.

 

Newbie to Toyota, but figured I start it right. Got it 4/22 Extended Warranty and Maintenance Package was implemented by Jerry. He is the best and Toyota's hidden gem.

 

Jerry saved me thousands as compared to what dealerships around DC metro area were asking. He was very courteous, patient, and went the extra mile answering any and all questions. Encyclopedia of Toyota through the phone.

Made the journey to the Phoenix area for my install tomorrow at Westcott Designs. Took my time, stopping every hour since I haven't "broken in" the engine yet....left my house with 198 miles on it. I must say I was pretty impressed with the mpg, even though after tomorrow I'll never see it again haha

 

How much do they charge for the install?

 

Off Topic for a moment - Looks like the Cock-str got the boot? I ain't seen / heard hide-nor-hair of him in a couple weeks...

 

All the youtubers have moved on to the ZR2 so until there's another negative Tundra video I guess we won't see him posting

I think more truck manufacturers need to give vehicles to people like this kid. Stop brining in influencers to show me how a tailgate button works and jump that thing with a load of cinder blocks in the bed.

So I went in for my 5000 mile service today. Let them know that I was getting the parking brake malfunction occasionally at random times. The issue was a wiring harness for the rear passenger side wheel speed sensor it’s on order and will be fixed under warranty once part comes in. They said if it comes back before part arrives it will not affect the drivability.

 

LOL, he gone.... bye-bye

 

That's OK. I'll jump in every once in a while to tell you how awful your truck is. .

In all seriousness though there are probably enough threads in here highlighting the plethora of deficiencies.

I really hope the Sequoia doesn't fall this flat at launch.

Just got our 22 Tundra and progress has been made! Ditch Lights and Bed Rack to start. Soon will be rock sliders and roof rack

 

Thats some Ford level assembly right there...lol
