First time in a forum. Recently went from a 2007 double cab with the 4.7 after 12 years to a 2018 CrewMax 5.7. Looking for some advice on exhaust, on my previous Tundra I had the Magnaflow and had no complaints. But out of curiosity, any feedback on the AFE or TRD exhaust systems? Looking forward to talking with you all. Thanks for your time.

Thanks for the muffler info and for the welcomes. On the dirty deeds… is it the bigger the number, the quieter it is? Or vice versa?

No opposite. 6” with no resonator is their loudest. I ran my 8” for about 3 months without the resonator and it was fun, but the drone got to me. Once the resonator went on it’s perfect.

For dirty deeds, higher the number the quieter it is. 6 inch is louder, 8 is a middle ground, performance sound. 10 inch would be good for towing, good sound, deep but nothing onbnoxious and 12 inch would be quieter, still some deep sound and does not sound stock but quiet. They come with resonators for the tail pipe that do in fact work and remove the drone. Tundras do drone.

I run the 10 inch myself and find it really nice.

    Curse you Perry the Platypus!
Welcome from East TN. I have the TRD exhaust and love it. It has a nice purr and isn't obnoxious at all. Magnaflow is a great product but when it comes to the Tundra, go with either TRD or @dirtydeeds.

Thanks again for all the welcomes from across the states. The TRD exhaust prices are crazy.. I called some dealerships and it ranged from 1100-1300. I asked if that included Vaseline? All they could do was laugh. The TRD CAI was at $ 384. Not in a rush, patience is a virtue.
