    Because of my missing tailgate (see previous thread), I am able to see the entire top of the mounting bracket for the step. It's a huge bowl that collects dirt. This is sand from a beach trip 3 weeks ago. It's been washed 3 times since and I kept getting sand in this area.

    Nah, now that I know it's there I will just stick the leaf blower in and blast it out before washing. Thing collects more bad memories than my ex-wife.
