My transmission just went out

    Hey guys my trans just went out in my truck out of no where. its an 08 5.7 with 260 thousand on it. i really need help finding a trany and maybe a engine. id like to pull and replace both if possible. i just bought this truck a year ago and don't want to start over again. i do construction so my truck is my paycheck. please help my save my yoda.

    dude i just got up one morning and went to go to work and nothing was working, it felt like the truck was in limp mode or something, so i drove it straight to the dealer like 4 miles away. i think it was something from the owner before me. i bought the truck a little over a year ago from a used car dealer with 240,00 miles on it already with a brake controller and a few bumper dents. i think the guy before me used the truck for a fair amount of towing.

    Damn that sucks! Maybe something simpler than a complete tranny job. Might be worth a second opinion.

    ya im stuck between a rock and a hard place. im trying to start my own buisness right now in construction, and this really screwed me. iv had to cancel some up coming jobs and i still have to get my truck towed back to my house. im going to have to wait and buy one used and put it in with a friend i cant afford to pay shop prices.
