    Hello fellow Tundra owners.

I recently had my breaks done (rotors and pads) for the front and back. For some reason the driver side rear pads rub intermittently. I had a shop do the work, they replaced the pads with OEM pads and that did make it better but it still rubs after full stop only at low speeds. The shop did my previous breaks with the same system (Napa premium) with out any issues. Not sure what is causing this but the shop did confirm that it wasn't my wheel bearings. Any ideas would be helpful, thanks.

Describe rub. Like the pads are hitting a high spot on the rotor as the wheels spin? Grinding noise?

yes its defiantly a rotational rubbing sound, it hits then stops and repeats once rotated. Its a humming sound that comes only from the rear drivers side. I asked the shop to replace the rotor thinking it was out but they didn't seem to think that was the cause.

I have had new brakes do this for a couple of days. I would give it that. If it continues the rotor is prob. out of round-which is common on non-oem rotors.

Could this be because your wheel weights are hitting your brake caliper? This happened to me because I bought 17" rims.

New pads are sometimes just noisy for the 1st few hundred miles. I did mine this morning and if I slowly spin the wheels I can hear a metal on metal rubbing noise.

It may be the inside of the rotor scraping on the backing plate. I had similar issue when I put on new rotors in the rear. They have a very tight clearance. It will eventually "wear" away at the spot it's rubbing after couple hundred miles.
