Limited has the better audio option, don’t think you can get JBL system on SR5

Typically a JBL system would be an upgrade and while I don't mind the JBL system, I am not sure a lot of people would consider this an upgrade.

When I was buying my 2021 I decided on the SR5 O/R over the Limited because I would never use the sunroof and I've never been big on leather seats. SR5 was perfect for what I wanted. LED's, auto dimming mirror, duel climate, Carplay, push start, auto cruise, and none of the stuff I didn't want. One thing I wish it had was a heated steering wheel but hey, can't have everything.

Converted it to a 1794 Double cab clone.

Saved a Ton of money doing for mods one as a time myself.

My 2021 Limited Nightshade doesn't have a sunroof thank god. I previously had a 2008 SR5 and loved it.
There are a few things I do not like about the Limited when compared to the Sr5.
    1. 20" wheels - I prefer the look of the 18" wheels.
    2. Leather seats - I do not need these really though they are easier to clean I am worried about messing them up all the time. LOL!

I would get the SR5 and mod it how you want like I did with my 2008.

No bigger gas tank? I have the same truck and I have it. Granted I have the TRD Sport but I don’t think a bigger tank was in that package.

I just got an sr5 CM OR and I am somewhat regretting not getting a sunroof based on my experience having one in a Sequoia. It makes it tougher because I don't like leather unless it's vented, just gets too hot in summer with the swamp A%!. So I wanted cloth, or vented seats if they are leather, and a sunroof. I saw one sr5 2021 with a sunroof, and that was it, within a 500 mile radius. Mine right now is cloth with no Sunroof. I thought I might get a sunroof installed aftermarket, but am asking around and am being strongly encouraged not to.

It's not about looking up so much as the the .....how do I put it.....open cabin feel of driving? Had them in all cars until the tundra. Opening the slide cover or the roof itself let's in crazy amounts of light and is reminiscent of being in a convertible without the crazy wind. You feel like you're in a huge open space. My limited doesn't have the sunroof, and I thought i would hate it but I'm an average size guy so the cab is just so large that there's no chance of feeling boxed In like my old accord coupe or 96 sentra (never closed the sunroof cover on them since the day I bought them). The more stuff to go wrong could be true ? I greased my tracks every 3-5 years and never had a leak or issue from either until someone destroyed them both. Total of 16 years between those two cars But YMMV.

My limited has the Graphite Gray leather seats which are much cooler than the black. Also keep in mind that it isn’t real leather. It’s called SofTex. Goggle it and see the pros and cons compared to real leather.

Look up? If you're camping or something or parked at the beach it can be cool to look out of it, but that's not what I was referring to. When driving. You're not looking out of it but the airflow that comes through there is pretty great, and you do not get the road noise of having windows open. Let's also say it's a hot day and you need to park somewhere to have lunch, parking in a shaded spot and fully opening the sunroof and cracking the rest, get a ton of airflow through the cab. Also get more sun as you're going down the road. A lot of pros imo.

Yeah honestly I don't want the leather at all unless it's true leather and ventilated. But if I have to get one that isn't, will probably throw a cloth seat cover from headwaters in it to hopefully get it to be less swampy in the summer.

Good call on the color, I have to sit in the sun a lot so the dark exterior colors are out for me. Kind of don't like how the platinum's only seat color is black, because if I stretch my search way out I can see some platinum's for really good deals, and those have the venilated seats, granted I tried 2 of them at a carmax, a 2016 and a 2020, and wasn't that impressed with the 2020's airflow.

If I keep my sr5 I'll probably upgrade to the Katzkin heated/cooled seats down the road.

For what it's worth, I didn't think the Limited was worth the extra money when I was buying.

Had a 2003 Subaru with double moonroofs that leaked no matterwhat we did. Only solution was to park it pointing down hill. Never again.

I liked the sr5 better. But plan on taking some trips in it and instantly was getting complaints about the cold, so I thought I'd go limited to get the seat heater and dual zone climate. I do love having the sunroof. And the sound system in the limited is surprisingly good. Other than that, there's not much in it that's worth it. And the leather seats are hard as a friggin rock, I am already missing the cloth and may go back to cloth because my back is killing me in these chairs.

SR5 Upgrade Package has heated cloth seats and I think if you go to the TRD OR Premium or TRD Sport Premium you can get dual zone climate control.

Exactly my reasoning for trading 18 SR5 for 20 Limited. That and the lost half gal of milk that spoiled under the seat that we didn't find till too late.
