Do you have that whistle now? Mine whistles like crazy at around 1500rpm. I got rid of that ‘honeycomb’ diffuser as some suggested with no luck. May upgrade to something more serious later on.

I think I want to do the same. That chrome inside has blinded me on several occasions. Did you use paint?

No I don’t have a whistle at all. I actually can’t hear anything different up front. I remember putting this kit on my Tacoma and getting a noticeable roar when I mashed on it, but not on this truck. :notsure:

So finally got around to installing my Rago Fabrication Modular Dash Plate! Did a little custom modifying and took out the USB charger it came with and Purchased a USB fast charger with a voltage meter and integrated it in instead so now it fast charges my phone!!!

Installed Rough Country exhaust. Sound matches a 381 HP engine :). Good exhaust notes and the idle sounds good. Excellent quality. Recommend.

Not yet. I saw audio clips on Youtube and it only sounded to some level (I was not sure what to expect). After installing, im impressed. It sounds good when you press the throttle and close to stock when you drive eco. Lots of parts to install but not too bad.

That's good to hear. Don't want it to be loud all the time...just when I step on it. Pretty casual driver....at least that's what I tell myself...

Let me know or post up here if you add any audio!

Many go through the dealer for the updates if still under warranty (quick update). If not, there is a website where you can download the same software update the techs use to update to a USB drive.

Haha, that is a lot of $ for just an update. Search Tundra Entune update from Toyota, follow instructions and install. Usually good for those random Entune restarts.

How about life span? How does plasti dip do vs rocks and what not. Or when washing the truck? I also got a 1250 buck quote for vinyl wrapping my chrome bits. Yikes!

Great for emblems. My emblems have held up for 10 years or so (on my first Gen) Bumpers made it a solid 2 years but developed rock dings. Easy to respray and “patch” the bad spots on the bumper. I end up doing a full scuff, prime and bedliner on the bumpers though.

Installed Truxedo x15 cover. Had to modify it for it to fit….. I didn’t want to return it so had to make do lol. Rci skid and talon cat protection. I wanted Valhalla but didn’t want to risk waiting months. So far so good. Also did the power lock for the tailgate. Should of came like this from the factory lol. Also did meso dome and map light.

Well it is going to be some time before I have all those answers. I have a membership to a local car wash and I used it often so that is going to be the big test. I decided to give it a try because I swapped message with a few people who said they had PlastiDip on for 2 years now. Even if it needs a touch-up in 2 years it is still a fraction of a fraction of the vinyl which was a ridiculous price. It is obviously 1000 labor and they wanted the truck for 2 days saying they were going to remove all the front and rear to wrap it. I get it that a good job is a good job but at the end of the day it is just vinyl. Notice my rear bumpers the only chrome was on the far outsides. I taped everything off but didn't on the vertical where the plastic meets because I wanted the spray to get down in there. I thought I would just peel it off the plastic piece in the end but in the end I couldn't even tell it was on there so I didn't bother with it.

To me it looks pretty good and I'm happy with it.

    A bunch
Since my truck is out of warranty I did an oil change myself - that went fairly smoothly other than the service techs at Toyota tightened the filter drain plug so tight I got the whole filter housing off and had to put full force on it to finally break it free of the housing, now have the aluminum one so won't be tightened with an impact again.

Also did the differentials and transfer case - the fluid pump I bought didn't fit the Mobil 1 bottles so wouldn't get the fluid in there, had to takes the wifes suv to crappy tire and buy a different pump for the front diff, ended up with so much oil on the driveway fighting with the pump, good thing I have lots of kitty litter. Rear diff and transfer case went super smoothly at least to finish off the day.

I saw this driving down the hiway today. It might be secure enough to not fall off but man this looks top heavy.
