I got a quote from a local wrap guy and he said $400 to wrap the mustache on my limited. $200 to wrap the door handles. Does that sound like a good price? Should I explore other options such as OEM or painting?

For the handles I think I will just buy new OEM since I can get them paint matched for $190 more, and possible sell the chrome.

Sounds like a normal price to me. I was looking to get a bunch of things wrapped on my wife’s car, the shop’s quote was insane.

I got quoted $700 in Seattle to wrap the grill, $400 seems fair. Anyone skilled enough to do probably it isn't going to charge any less.. not worth their time. I wrapped it myself, and wouldn't recommend doing it again. Pain the a$$ as this was my first time. There were times where I almost gave up.. it can get tricky will all the curves, nooks & crannies. Just be sure to see the guy's other work, and ask about any warranty issues should it start to peel off. If I had to do it over again, I'd pay the $700 lol. Just my 2 cents.

Any decent paint job will take a few days and require leaving the truck at the shop. If you can spare the time then go for it. But cheapest quote I got for paint was $500. There are no oem options. It will be a long wait for paint matched oem grill.

Can of adhesion promotor, can or 2 of color matched paint and a couple cans of 2K clear is far less than $400. Just saying!

I am with you. Painted aftermarket lips and spoilers using exactly what you mentioned and if you take your time and don't skip steps it comes out perfect.

How hard is it to remove the mustache for painting?
Any companies working on a mustache overlay (like the emblem black out from Toyota)

Yup same here with no issues. Certainly will last longer than a wrap

One of my neighbors rebuilt his Chevy PU and wrapped the whole truck. Looks good but he said the roof's wrap is cracking and that it is now out of warranty. New Mexico sun is tough and he parks the truck outside.

I called a shop for a quote to paint the whole truck. $7,000.00 to $10,000.00. :eek2: I was told by other people it cost more to wrap now than to paint. Seems like what ever direction ya go, it’s gonna cost $$. I try to do most stuff myself. But sometimes it’s better to pay someone that knows what they’re doing.

Wrap need to be re-done down the road. The timing depends on where you live and weather environment. I have wrap on my truck and it needs to be replaced every 3 years.

Clips are very delicate that’s for sure.
