Curious about how your shell functions with the RTT? I have a similar leer (it is the mid rise model) and have read a lot about RTTs being to heavy for these fiberglass shells.

 

I only used it a couple times on the shell. Just make sure your tracks on the shell are spaced out close to the edges of the shell as much as possible so all the weight is transferred down to the bed. I called my local leer deal to confirm it was good to install an RTT on top before I did they said they do hundreds of installs on the same model no issues. The shell should hold up to 7-800 lbs he said as long as you aren’t driving with weight. He said driving around 200 lbs if I remember correctly. I really spaced out my tracks on the shell there should be a pic on my build you can reference.

 

Thanks man. There is so much contradicting info on this topic I figured I would go straight to someone that has had the set up. Awesome build by the way. It's been the inspiration for my '18 double cab.
